So im just getting back into warmachine after having to take a break due to college. Im not that far from you guys and figured it would be a fun way to get back into it. Roughly what time do people start showing up for warmachine/hordes? I cant wait to start playing again

Generally people start showing up around six, give or take.

So what is the actual format of the league? Are there scheduled matches or is just playing who you can find for points.

And would I have to be there on Monday to be eligible? I'm not sure my army will be assembled and painted by then.

It's way more casual than that. Most people will be playing their games on Thursdays, since that's club night at the store. I think you can play up to five games a week against other people in the league.

Also, the games are all pickup games. Nothing is scheduled in advance.

All the games are pickup games, and your models do not have to be painted. There are, however, awards for playing with painted models. 5 games a week towards league, and any point level you want, really. Any day is viable; if Thursdays don't work simply post that you are looking for a game on a certain day, and se how it goes. Friday is FNM, and probably not a good time to try to get a game in.

All right, all my guys are assembled, plus my jacks are all painted (my caster/units are gonna be a work in progress). Still super excited for my first real game with my own army.

I didn't get in one league opening - what size games are being played tonight? What restrictions are there? I've been busy and/or tired lately, sorry I havent been making it much. Not sure I'd be able to make it tonight either, but it can't hurt to check.

Aaron ( Lord Stormbringer) is runing a journeyman league at Games Plus, in Mount Prospect. At Fair Game we are running the War Torn Alliances league. I will be there tomorrow, looking forward to the release of "Colossals". Hoping to do a team game. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

So, league has come to an end, as far as keeping score goes. The winner will be announced Thursday. However, we will continue to play league games with league scenarios and bonding being kept. There will be a tournament the week after Gen con, and we will do Colossala release in September That way, more people will have access to their faction's Colossal. I am always open to ideas and suggestions to ameliorate our local game scene, and am happy to see so many enjoying the game. See you guys Thursday.

I enjoyed the league even though I was playing for fun and not to win due to my work schedule. I don't know if it'd be a possibility, but I would totally buy into a summer rampage day if it is ran. A weekend day would be ideal as I could play all day. Just an idea and good job with the league!

So who is going to be at GenCon? Decided last night I am going to head down on Saturday afternoon after all.

Signed up for the Death Race! Tournament that starts Saturday night at 11pm. Will also be playing some Iron Arena games before and after that.

I will be playing Khador in the tournament, don't have enough Legion stuff yet to field a competitive list.
