    Default Spriggan Model...

Alright, I'm going to put myself in front of the firing squad here. Am I alone in not liking the Spriggan model at all? I LOVE its sheer awesomeness, as far as gameplay goes, but can't stomach laying down the dough for it.

There. I said it. Fire away

Not sure about alone, but I MUCH prefer it's chassis to the standard Khador jack. Of all of the faction's "Secondary Chassis", Khador is easily my fav.

I switched the torso of the devi with the spriggan. I thought the spriggan torso looked more devi and I liked the kneeling pose for the spriggan. The implied form of a metal knight with shield and lance works for me. I didn't think it looked too bad as it was, just not enough POW with the torso.

I re positioned my Spriggan which helped. I had him turning slightly to the side, with his lance and shield be held wide open as if to say either "come at me bro" or " dude. gimme a friggan hug!"

I've really dislike the Spriggan myself. I think a lot of it is the odd pose with the downed knee and the really bulky chest plate. I've got, high, high hopes for the plastic resculpt though, because I find the concept art for the Demolisher to fix most everything I dislike about him. The Demolisher art really seems to streamline the torso and make it appear taller, taking away a lot of the awkward and top heavy feel of the original. Here's hoping!

It follows the Khador rule that unit effectiveness is inverse to model appearance. Beast 09 being the sole exception.

Actually i find that Beast is slightly misproportionate. I HATE how his legs and shoulders join at the head. lol.

I like the artwork better than the model. The artwork shows a taller, narrower 'jack without a lot of topside armor. That look disappears on the relatively squat model.

I'll sort of disagree with you. I love most of the model but the shield is completely out of place. It's sort of a weird mish-mash of parts and looks like something you'd see on a merc jack or something.

I actually like the spriggan's look. I think it's one of our best looking warjack.

The Spriggan shield is probably literally a piece of Juggernaut hull or something.

Just random steel slabs off the production line bolted together.

I like the Spriggan's look. Looks like MoWs bigger brother.

I quite like the spriggan model. it just so happens that upon assembly the tip of his spear is exactly 2inches from his base - awesome! I hate it when a reach model just doesn't look like it could hit anything remotely far from its base. im looking at you avatar .

i am actually converting my Devestator to be magnetized to be Devy or the Spriggan. the only thing is the bulky chest so i am going to green stuff it up. make a chestpiece and attach it to the Head so they are one piece that just click on via magnets. i am going to model it partialy after the Jousting Armors of the Medieval era xD i am hoping it turns out good. if i can find some plasticard locally for cheap ill so alot of the modeling with it.

I'm with you man, it's a great jack but I hate the sculpt. I'm not saying it's badly made, I just don't like the look of it. It's not why I got into Khador at all.

Does anyone know if it's confirmed the Spriggan will be part of the next heavy 'jack kit? Another player mentioned that it's not *quite* the same chassis and he didn't think it would be. I'm pretty sure it's close enough that it's supposed to be the same chassis and the repackage will likely include it (especially since a 2 'jack kit is silly).

I personally like the Spriggan model a lot. He has the heavy armor to really qualify as Khadoran, with the dangerous simplicity of Khador's weaponry. How he stabs with that lance in close combat I have no idea. Plus, he really speaks to the Khadoran battle ethos: "For several hundred years Uhlans were some of the most dangerous men on the battlefield. A warjack of the same armament will surely inspire similar fear in our enemies."

Personally I dislike the Juggernaut's chassis. It looks like a good kick to the shins would cause him to buckle over.

I don't seem to understand what the issue some of you have with the Spriggan. I think that the Studio pose is boring, but I have 2 and neither of them are in the studio pose. They're by far my favorite Jacks outside of Drago; pVlad Drago and 2 Spriggans make me grin.
