Intro: My name is Shane. I'm a member of the Prime Generation and my old account name is ImmortalStrain. I started playing back before Evolutions. I started with Skorne as they have my favorite fluff. I made my rounds through lots of other factions because i just couldn't get around that Skorne had trouble hitting models. Since I originally sold my models I have wished I hadn't. I got back into them because i missed them so much. I got everything I need for some competitive lists on Christmas and I can't wait to get on to a fully painted army. This will be the first time I have ever tried to Post my Models and set a goal for myself.

Faction: Skorne (for the second time around =])

Theme: Purple tinted Gold Armor. White and Tan clothing, Purple Accents and gems, red desert bases. Same Marble that Ron used in his insider for Guardian models. Tan/dirt flesh for titans similar to elephants covered in dried mud. Standard Skorne flesh.

What I plan to paint that I currently own: Everything I have.

    - Casters: eMakeda, eHexeris, pMorghoul
    - Beasts: Extreme Gladiator, Sentry, Bronzeback, Cyclopse Shaman, Basilisk Drake
    - UNITS: Praetorian Swordsman & UA, Venator reviers & UA, paingiver beast handlers, tyrant commander & standard.
    - Solos: Extoller Soulward(x2), Master Tormentor, Haakar, Agonizer.
    - Aptimus Marketh ( ALMOST DONE AND USED AS A TEST MODEL. WILL POST SOON FOR C&C.)

I echo the sentiments about FFT. Greatest game ever.

Intro : I have been gaming and painting for about 16 years now. I have been a faithful GW player for that entire time outside of a stint playing Flames of War for about a year and a half. I still love those games (40K, WFB, and Flames), but I just don't have any desire to play them anymore after having had a taste of the best game system I've ever played... which is WarmaHordes. It's incredible. I liked it when it first came out, but just didn't get into it. After a demo game or two this year, I'm in. I'm so, so in.

    Faction : Retribution of Scyrah

Theme: My force sorta doesn't have a theme... and that's kinda the theme. Each jack will have it's own theme based loosely on it's name. My Phoenix already looks like a phoenix with flaming feather tendril thingies, my Hydra will have reptilian scales, etc. Each troop type will also have a different theme. Kaelyssa for instance, is essentially a mage hunter and I've already painted her with a galaxy on her cloak, her armor is the stock paint scheme of black with gray highlight, and an assortment of earth tones. The dawnguard will have sunbursts on their armor, the houseguard armor will look like bricks... like a house, etc. Anyway, I have a lot of different ideas for this army. Probably just better to show you as they get done. Pretty happy with what I've already painted, so should be good. One unifying theme I forgot to mention are the blades. They are sort of an orange tinted metallic.

What I plan to paint : First on the block, Vyros. I have an interesting 50 point force I want to use and so I'll paint it as I go:

Phoenix (already done, probably use it as a get out of painting free card) (Edit: I mean I won't count this one toward anything, but it IS a part of my 50 point total, so the 2 months I should have "painted" this during the year will use up my 2 get out of painting free cards.)
    Hydra
    Discordia
    Manticore
    Dawnguard Sentinels x 10
    Sentinel UA
    2x Soulless Escorts
    2x Archanists
    1x Magister

And if I get done with all of that quickly I'll paint up my Mage Hunter Strike Force.

Still 2011 here so I think I might just sneak in.

Took part in 2010, painting pirate Skarre IIRC. So I'm back for this year as I need to get a push on if I am to achieve all my aims for this year.

Will be painting the Cryx again, though this time it will be in my new colour scheme, fleshing out my Scaverous force, as well as probably tackling Terminus at long last. Really need to get Deathjack painted so I don't lose the bet with John Snape too.

...legends tell of a mythical pirate captain by the name of Johnny Bones. Captain of the damned ship The Golden Thrall, doomed to forever navigate the murky waters of the seven seas trading mild innuendo and painting tips in every port he calls at...

    Hi please sign me up

Intro : I've only started paying WH and Horde about 2 years ago

Faction(s) : Khador, Ret, Menoth, Circle (i'll be doing Circle in this tale)

Theme: JUst no idea - will start looking at others painting to be inspired - it's a fury army not stone.

What I plan to paint : So much Warp Wolf, Stalker, Pure blood, Wolves and Reaves, Lord of feast, thran chicks and other stuff - this might even help me design the army for games.

Intro : Hey everyone, its been a while since I painted alot and hoping to get motiviated with this thread. I have played warmachine since the beginning when Prime was black and white. I use play Cygnar and then quit and then got back into Cygnar and then quit again. My goal is to for the first time have a fully painted army to a nice table top quality. I want to put more focus into nicer bases as I have traditionally neglected bases and try out an airbrush.

Faction(s)* : I currently have Retribution, and some Khador.

Theme* : I am want to either take the color for Lord_Tyrant Watt's or do a Yu-jing color scheme.
What I plan to paint : I want to plan 50pts of Ret.

Intro : Hello everyone. I started painting minis about 10 years ago but stopped when WoW was released. Now that I've overcome that addiction its time to start a new one
Unfortunately I have faction/game ADD so the really important part of this for me is to stick to a single faction. In addition to my own army I will be painting my better halves army as well as one of my friends. Plus I'm hoping for commision work later this year if others like my painting style.

    Faction: TrollBloods

Theme: I'm not sure at this point, the first month will be designing conversions and resculpts as well as painting several different themes and getting help choosing which is best. I do know that I want extremely aggressive and feral trolls. Some ideas at this point are below.

    Conversions:
The spine breaking out of the skin much like eThag instead of the normal spikes.
    Enlarged teeth and longer tongues.
    More dynamic windswept clothing.
More angular and pronounced muscles and additional veins.
Winter bases with lots of ice (I've never tried a winter scene before so this will be new and may take a lot of experimenting.)
Everything that would normally be metal will be rune carved stone instead.
I might add ears or noses (I'm unsure at this point but I have a couple of conversion scenes I would like to do, that would depend on the trolls using these senses.)
Get rid of the pot bellies and sculpt abs.

Colors: As I stated above I'm not sure at this point so I will be painting a test model in several colors and letting my better half and the community at large decide.
Blue/purple skin with white runes and black/grey spikes.
Monochrom white skin with blue runes and black/grey stones and spikes.
Green skin with yellow runes and ivory white spikes. (I'm unsure about this one the most as they may turn out looking to much like the hulk.)

What I plan to paint :
    Hoarluk Doomshaper, Rage of Dhunia
    Earthborn Dire Troll
    Dire Troll Bomber
    Dire Troll Mauler
Mulg (Dire Troll Mauler Extreme conversion)
    Trollblood Runeshapers
    Janissa Stonetide

    Morning all,

Given we're now comfortably into 2012 in the UK (and a Happy New Year to you all - may this year be no worse than 2011 for you, unless the Mayan forecast holds true), I'll not be accepting any new sign-ups in this thread after this post.

If you still wish to join A Tale of Warmahordes 2012 after this point, please PM me as indicated in the first post.

As of this post, and including the two guys who will be starting late, we have 97 participants...

    Cheers.

    Intro :
I've played Hordes since the day it came out (I still remember where I was that day it was released - working a dull, dead-end job for the UK gov't, spending all day reading wargames blogs when I should be working, and there I came across the new Hordes game, and went and bought the rulebook and trollblood starter box and hoarluk that very lunchtime.... but I digress...). Since then I've collected a big Troll army (200 points or so - some of my Trollblood miniature galleries here) and an equally large Cryx army. I've also dabbled in almost every other army, but none have stuck so far... but now Skorne have once again caught my eye, so I've dusted off the undercoated minis I have and started playing with armies based around these.

    Faction(s)* :
    Skorne

    Theme* :
Mostly based around Mordikaar's, Xerxis' NQ alt list and eMorghoul's lists... due to the fact I already own some karax and some bloodrunners.
In terms of colours, Xerxis' alt tier list, The Abyssal Cohort is largely what inspired me to paint a Skorne army, alongside having a thing for Mordikaar, so I think I'll go for a dark paint scheme.

What I plan to paint :
I have the above 2 units and 3 warlocks already assembled, as well as Hakaar, Marketh, an agoniser, 2 void spirits, the bloodrunner solo, a bronzeback and a shaman.
That'll be plenty to get me started.
    Normally, when I paint I do 1 warlock/caster, 1 Warbeast/jack, 1 unit and 1 solo / UA.
I might have to modify that for the sake of getting stuff done in a month, but we'll see.
I do also have some trolls that are nearly finished I might have to sneak in somewhere, plus I have the troll Warwagon on pre-order

Intro: I've been in the hobby for about 10 years now, though my painting technique and speed would suggest otherwise. I migrated from "the other game" around the start of MKII. I've collected a number of armies though a couple have been traded away for more models in-faction. The goal is to have at least one painted 50 point force mid year, and possibly 2 50 point forces by the end of the year.

    Faction(s): Menoth, Mercenaries, Cygnar, Circle

Painting Plan: I would like to finish most of my Menoth as it would be the faction I take to Steamrollers. I have a full unit w/ua Errants + Seneschal, Full zealots w/ua, 2 heavy jack kits magnetized, Reckoner, daughters, eSevvy, thyra, and possibly Harbinger. I realize that's a lot, so I won't commit to it all, just 50 points. For Mercs, I'd like to finish my Damiano list: Stealhead halbies, Cav, Riflemen, Rocinante (when he's out), Mule, ARGM's, and some odds and ends when I get the change. The Cygnar and Circle are there if I get bored of my two main factions.

Intro: I've been painting and playing wargames for about 10 years now, but I've never managed to finish painting an army. I am an army / system hopper, so I've got random painted units and characters all over the place.

Faction: Circle. Yes, I am declaring my mind made up!

Themes: I'm going for an autumnal theme.

What I plan to paint: I am going to get a fully painted army on the table before I even look at another faction longingly! I'd like at least 35-points, but I'd love to get a 50-point Circle list painted. Then maybe I'll paint the 100 points of Menoth sitting in my drawer..

    Name: Flindo
Intro: I have been into wargaming for a couple of years now, Starting Privateer press games a couple of months ago, and am really digging it!
Theme: Khador will be the traditional red russian look like what PP kind of does and Trollbloods will be what PP did with the Scottish style, but up it a bit more by adding Scottish warpaint and stuff like that.

    Factions: Khador and Trollbloods

What I will paint this month:
a Leader + 4 Grunt squad of Demolition corps, 9 points

What I will paint next month: a Trollblood Axer, 6 points

Intro : I'm in! I've been wargaming for about 13 years now, started in with Fantasy Battle, moved on to 40k shortly after, and have dabbled in just about any wargaming genre since then. Got heavy into WM/Hordes late 2009 and have been going strong since.

Factions : I'll be starting the first three months or so of the year off with a Magnus1 Tier 4 list I'm building for our extended Journeyman League. After that I plan on getting all of the other starter sets (including optionals like Talion and Searforge) painted up for running demo games. If time permits I'll be doing a bit of work on my other two factions Cygnar and Cryx.

Theme : (Mercs) Magnus1 Tier 4, (Cryx) Skarre Shore Leave Tier 3

What I plan to paint :

    Most Wanted
    Magnus1
    Talon
    Renegade x 2
    Mangler
    Steelhead Halberdiers min x 2
    Greygore Boomhowler & Co. min
    Kell Bailoch
    Saxon Orrik

    Shore Leave
    Skarre1
    Harrower x 2
    Skarlock
    Blackbane's Ghost Raiders min
    Blood Witches min
    Blood Hag
    Raiders min
    Raider Captain

    Battle Boxes
    Khador (finish)
    Retribution
    Searforge
    Talion
    Circle
    Legion
    Skorne
    Trollbloods
    Blindwater
    Thornfall

Ambitious I know, but without a goal, I would spend way too much time playing video games...

    Intro :
Been into modelling and painting for close to 15 years now! Started doing wargaming with Warhammer Fantasy: 'Undead' (sadly they decided to run with the least interesting element of that list; vampires, for future releases). My first proper WarmaHordes army was Trollbloods but I've since then expanded into a dedicated Blindwater congregation force.
I'm the only Press Ganger in Iceland and the WarmaHordes community is growing rapidly around here!
I do freelance commission work for my clients, my LGS and I've even done some work for a computer game developer! =D

Faction(s)* : I'll be focusing on my Blindwater Congregation force for this 'Tale' though don't be surprised to see the occasional Trollblood model! =D

    Theme* : (if applicable)
I've got my gatormen based in a sort of bayou theme and I'll be sticking with it!

What I plan to paint :

    - Barnabas
    - Calaban
    - Maelok
    - Bull Snapper
    - Swamp Horror
    - Boneswarm
    - Wrongeye & Snapjaw
    - 10 x Gatorman Posse (Atleast 10 =D)
    - Viktor Pendrake
    - Thrullg
    - Totem Hunter
    - Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew
    - 6+ Bog Trog Ambushers (propably more than 6...I'll see!)

Intro:Having managed to paint all of my Protectorate stuff by the end of 2011, it's time for me to turn attention to the rather large pile of Skorne that I've amassed in the last year or so. Until the end of February, I'm focussing my efforts on getting ready for SmogCon. After that, I'll be gearing up for Lock & Load.

Faction: Skorne mainly, but with a few minions on the side.

Theme: You can see my existing Skorne scheme in the link in my sig. More of my ham-fisted attempts at psuedo-NMM will follow. Maybe I'll even work out how to do it properly somewhere along the way!

What I'm going to paint: I'm not sure yet, to be honest. Mordikaar is on the go at the moment, followed by the things I need to finish my T4 Fist of Halaak force. After that, who knows?

    Intro

I began Warmahordes back in MkI, shortly after the release of Hordes itself, but due to various factors I never got a chance to play heavily until mid-2011. I enjoy painting miniatures, but am easily overwhelmed by the idea of painting an entire army at once. Which naturally means that I have multiple entire unpainted armies. Time to do something about that.

    Faction

Circle Orboros, because Cryx just isn't strong enough.

    Theme

Autumn leaves: red/orange armor with brass/gold trim, cloth and leather in shades of brown, and select detail colors depending on the model. I've got one test model complete and a second test model, a variation, almost complete, but neither of them are part of my tournament list (which is what I'll be painting).

    50pt Painting List

    Mohsar the Desertwalker (*5pts)
    * Gorax (4pts)
    * Megalith (11pts)
    * Pureblood Warpwolf (9pts)
    * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    * Stone keeper (1pts)
Tharn Bloodtrackers (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    * Nuala the Huntress (2pts)
Tharn Wolfriders (Leader and 2 Grunts) (6pts)
    Gallows Grove (1pts)
    Gallows Grove (1pts)

This painting list is subject to change if the tournament list alters, but that's unlikely.

Intro: I've been wargaming for 15 years or so now, although I am a recent convert to WarmaHordes. That said, I continually purchase more models than I actually get around to painting -- the last time that I had a fully painted army ready to play with was a 40k army in 2002. Before I got married and had kids. It would be nice to have a reason not to be flighty and inconsistent about my painting habits.

Faction: Khador. I have an interest in Trollbloods also, and some mercenaries will probably come with the territory also, but Khador is certainly the focus here.

Theme: A deep green with vibrant red accents.

What I Plan to Paint: A Winter Guard Death Star, Kovnik Joe, Yuri the Axe, 2x Manhunters, Great Bears of Gallowswood, Kayazy Assassins, Iron Fang Pikemen, Battle Mechaniks, eSorscha, pButcher, eVlad, and some assorted warjacks.

Intro: I have been playing Warmachine since 2005 I played ShockForce, and Warhammer Quest before that. Been painting minis for a few more years than that for D&D and other RPS games.

Faction: I'll be working on Menoth, I will be playing in a JM League starting next week I plan on painting my little butt off. I have spent the last few of my paint days just building models or in some cases rebuilding. I may also dip some stuff to repaint it. After Menoth or at least the next 7 weeks I get back to the Hordes side and work on Circle/Minions.

    Theme:
I h.ave 2 themes My Flameguard units, including Feora is traditional Off white and a Sanguine (Actually Scab Red) My Exemplars are Off White and a Purple Mostly Gold trim I also have some squads sporting Black, Gold and Purple.

What I Plan to Paint: hehe Just about everything, I have Thyra, 2 units of Daughters(I want a 3rd), Blood of Martyrs, 2 min units of Idrians and UA, Max unit of Errants, UA and Solo. Min unit of Zealots 2 more Jack kits (one Scourge of Her) Max unit of Horgenhold, EKreoss, Reznik, Amon, , ToM, a Vassel, the warcaster attachment, Eiryss OH and a Vessel of Menoth Battle Engine. That's it for now I think...

    Good luck all!!

Intro : I have been wanting to get into Warmachine for over a year and have finally gotten around to selling my old Warhammer fantasy and 40k collections to clear up funds and space for the new game. I received a Cygnar and Khador battlebox a year ago at christmas (Classic type), but never was able to find a club to game with. This year I am resolved to find some local people who play in one of the few shops around the city. I also plan on doing everything I can to get my friends into the game as well.

Faction(s)* : Mainly Mercenaries with some Khador and Cygnar sprinkled in.

Theme* : Llael (Purple, white, and gold) for Mercenaries, grey with red accents for Khador, and classic blue for Cygnar.

What I plan to paint : Both Battle boxes and a good amount of Highborn Mercs, starting with a Nomad, Mule(Might Turn into Rocinante), Buccaneer, run by Captain Damiano.

Intro :I've been playing since just after Evolution, Wherin a friend of mine finally convinced me to pick up a battlebox with the argument of, "It's just $50 bucks, and you can start playing!." I snagged the trollblods, and quickly learned that this was, while not precisely a lie, a GROSS exxageration. I've since gotten heavily into Mercs as well.

    Faction(s)* : Trollbloods, Mercenaries

Theme* : Trollbloods are pretty much studio colors. The mercs, I was really taken with the idea of Damiano as a leader of old-school condotierre, and was planning to do up the Steelheads in a style similar to the Swiss Guard. No guesses how that's going to turn out.

What I plan to paint : 50 Point Damiano Tier List (All Steelheads, All the time!)
35 Point MacBain Force (All my other mercs.)

So I'm goping to be concentrating on the Steelheads first, both because that's what I'm playing the most right now, and because they generally make an appearance in my other merc lists as well. Hopefully, I get 'em done for Lock and Load, but that's doubtful.

okay, i need to keep myself interested in the hobby and with lack of funds this seems like a way to do it.

Intro: I've been playing WM/H since just before Hordes released. I really liked the look of the Legion models and picked up the starter box to paint. Once that was done the my LGS owner demoed the game with his Khador vs. my Legion. It was very interesting and fun. I have been playing ever since. I dabbled with Cygnar as a WM army, but with the release of MKII sold off most of my Legion and Cygnar and started Retribution. They currently 90% completely painted, but I am looking to change color schemes. So I will be scrubbing off the pink of some of the models and redoing them in a different scheme.

Factions: Retribution is my main faction and I still have token Legion and Cryx armies.

Theme: I think I am going to go with either a variant of the studio scheme for my Retribution. Maybe, maybe not.

Painting Plan: A 50 pt. Dawnlord Vyros/Vivien NQ themed force.

Intro : I've been playing WarmaHordes from MKI prime. Since the start I've dabbled in almost every faction. I still have some models from my first purchase with no paint on them and others who have been repainted a couple times. I would love to get some games in with fully painted models.

    Faction(s) : Cygnar, Mercs, & a little Menoth

Theme : Cygnar - Tan and Brown; Mercs - Llael defense force & Rhul; Menoth - Breast Cancer ribbon pink.

What I plan to paint : Too many to list

Intro : Long time GW player 20+ years. Now I want to try something new. I bought myself pile of retribution models about a year ago but never got around to paint them. Just recently I managed my gaming group to have a look at warmachine and they seems to like it. So this seems like a good time to start painting.

    Faction : Menoth

What I plan to paint : All the Monoth models I own, and the pile keeps growing. At the moment its about 10 jacks and a couple of infantry units and solos.

intro: I have been gaming for 31 years DnD box edition (before ADnD). Painting since ral-partha fighter figs in high-school. I quit all the dnd stuff in college and moved to starwars d6 and LOTR. While at a conference in Nashville, I found this new startup game Mage Knight in week 2 of release, got a draconum heirophant in my 1st starter. I played competively in local tournaments, won 3rd place in a Dark Riders Pre-release (and a half a case of boosters) all the way though until the Nexus tournaments were over. I gave away 3 National invitationals from wins to players in our play group, where they finished 14, 7, and 3rd (i had beaten their armies but couldn't get to Gencon because of work) and had 2800+ figs catalogued on my computer with about 400+ not counted. Found warmachine and bought cryx box and NQ 1-3 all at the same time. Currently i have 562 points of warmahordes across 294 models, with about 30 or so models not painted.

    Factions: Not retribution (yet)

THEME: no bare metal - mostly traditional to the PP themes

Painting planned: 2 player cinerators, 2 player khador destroyer, 2 player menoth jacks(3), legion warspears, ethagrosh, typhon, kallus, trollblood minor stuff, Cygnar lancer and a few solos and maybe a unit of sword knights and storm blades + UA, 3 khador shocktroopers from 2 player box as well, saxon, pendrake (yeah thats it through march or april i think)

Planned purchases this year: Trollblood trukk - legion engine, bane thralls, incubi, and 2 or 3 legion beast packs, 2 or 3 troll beast packs both with their character packs.
Would like to get: khador gallowood bears, sons of bragg, and the 2 player hordes box (when and if one is released)
    1) I am a lazy, more apathetic brand of gamer
    2) I now have ALL the starter boxes
    3) I was going to add somthing funny here, but i'm just not in the mood.

Intro : Hello, My name is Ryan. Never played, never painted before, but I recieved the 35pt Khador Holiday bundle for christmas, So I figure why not?
    Faction(s): Khador
Theme : I am going with White Khador, and (hopefully) snow bases
What I plan to paint : Uhh, to start out with, everything that was in the 35 point battle box. Sorcha, Jugg, Decimator, Destroyer, Kovnik Joe, Winterguard Infantry, and Man-O-War Demo Corps. After that, we will see what other 15 points I buy.

Ok, so I finally got some time to sit down and type this out.

Intro :Well first off hello, my name is J.D and I've been wargaming for about 8 years now. I started off as most do with one of GW's games and played pretty much anything they put out, but as of the whole Embargo/Finecast fiasco my love for their games soured quite a bit (well that and living in Australia hobby got very expensive very quick). So as of June last year I picked up Warmachine with Menoth mainly to play against my room mate and found the rules system amazingly solid. So in the last 7ish months I've managed to get pretty into it all (after finding another couple of pretty dedicated players at my local club) and accrued over 180 points of Protectorate.

Factions :Khador, Protectorate of Menoth and maybe a splash of Cygnar and Trollbloods.

Theme : The Khador are going to be a black ops themed reserve army lots of black and red and chevrons. My Menoth are meant to be based on the northern crusade in Llael with an alternate colour scheme.

What I plan to paint : Well I recently agreed to commission paint my friends Khador army which is over 275 points strong so you guys will be seeing a lot of black and red Khador in the future and I'm going to try and slip in some of my Menoth whenever I can, but I expect to be painting over 25 points a month (plus casters).

This sounds doable for me. I'm in.

Intro : I started playing RPGs back in the late 70s, and my first wargame would have been sometime in the mid-80s, starting probably with either Car Wars or Battledroids. (NB - that was not a typo. BattleDroids was the first edition of what would become Battletech.) I confess that I occasionally get a laugh by taking some of my old RT-era stuff into a GW store, and telling the kid that complains about my "non-GW figs" that I have figs, dice and paint all older than he is. I got into Warmachine back in the MK I days, although I had a long hiatus because I moved into an area where I could play any game I want, provided it was D&D or Heroclix. I am currently trying to get Warmahordes started in the SW Michigan area of Kalamazoo.

Faction(s): Yes. Okay, my blog is Army Altaholic for a reason. I have at least the battlebox for everything except Talion, and for at least a couple of factions I can field Unbound-level armies. For most of them, I have somewhere between 35 and 50 points, although they are not always terribly effective forces.

Theme: (if applicable) My Khador are patterned after WWII Soviets in winter camo (whitewash over the green paint on the 'jacks). My Cygnar are Fort Falk, and my Protectorate are going to be Sanguinary Guard, I think. No specific scheme for Cryx - what I have is in studio colors, although I have an idea that I want to test for them. My Skorne are pretty much studio, but my Legion are a variant from NQ, my Circle are undecided, and my trolls are green, as they are listed as such in the Monsternomicon.

What I plan to paint : As much as possible. My ratio of painted to unpainted is pretty bad, and I want to fix that. My primary goal is to decide on what I plan on playing this year at GenCon, and getting all of that painted first. I'll worry about other stuff along the way, and I have a lot of WIP units and figs that I intend to finish off when I really need the points.

ETA - I'm concentrating on one faction per month. This month, I am concentrating on Mercs, mainly my Rhulic. Next month, I will set them aside (more or less), and move on to a different faction.

Shameless plugs - My blog: Confessions of An Army Altaholic and our Facebook page.
I would list my ratio of painted to unpainted miniatures here, but to be honest, it's depressing; the "faction" choice in the profile needs an "All of the above" option.
Going to L&L, but aren't interested in Convergence of Cyriss? LMK - I need a ninja shopper.

Well, what the hell... sign me up officially with this intro post (you already did... nevermind... still, here is a proper intro)

Intro: I played only briefly up to a year or two ago, using Khador. My best friend (Scallywag) moved to the same town as me once again, so I feel motivated to get back in and try something not GW. We'll see how it goes, I guess!

Factions: As it stands, it's only Mercenaries! We'll see if I do anything else or not.

Theme: Gunslingin' Highborn Covenant! I plan to have all sorts of cowboys in my army, centering it around Ashlynn. Obviously being mercenaries, there will not be any cohesive color scheme, but look for a spot color to tie them in, possible a purple.

Painting Planned: Oh god, I suck at planning. I just find models I like. Right now it's Ashlynn, Taryn and Rutger, Versh, Reinholdt, Gun Mages and UA, Forgeguard, couple jacks! I will obviously add more to get to 50, but that's what I currently own.

Intro : Hello, I have been "collecting" little metal men for 2-3 years and after losing my first love in a bitter buy more of our stuff and we are raising the prices twice fight a new friend gave me his two books, prime and primal, to read, i fell in love with religious nutjobs and monks. however my first love was Circle I just couldn't wrap my head around how they worked. so Ive been collecting and playing effectively around 18 months now and have jumped head first into circle.
    Faction(s)* :Menoth and Circle
Theme* : (if applicable) classic circle scheme with a plethora of minions, I happen to love the giant bear, good ol' Lug
What I plan to paint :EVERYTHING I have finished a Gorax, saxxon orrik, a pureblood and a feral completed everything else is fairgame, looking forward to ghetorix

Intro : Started playing this game about a year ago or so and now I got 100+ pts menoth or so, mostly painted. My goal in the end is to have at least ONE of each choice of unit/model. I usually buy a unit and a solo/caster a month and plan to keep that up. Planning on doing a circle army as well, but not sure if that will happen this year. I think I will paint more then 5pts every month though as I paint fast and winter time is slow on work...
    Faction(s)* : Menoth, maybe circle.
Theme* : Colours are going to be black templars inspired theme, as can bee seen in another thread, for Menoth. Circle, no idea.
What I plan to paint : Everything I buy this year. XD
Images and progression of my Menoth is Here

I just started a new faction so this should help keep me motivated

Intro : I got into Warmahordes roughly about a year and 1/2 or so ago. I had eyed them several times for months and been really interested, but at the time I was living in Baton Rouge for work and had no friends/family in the area that I could play with, and the first couple of times into the LGS I didn't feel welcomed so I just didn't bother. I ended up meeting my GF playing WoW and she moved in with me, we were looking for a hobby or something to do together other then computer games and I suggested Warmachine, since I had already been itching to try them and after looking at the models and whatnot she became excited about the idea too. She figured out she wanted to do Circle pretty much the first visit to the LGS and I was leaning more towards something Warmachine but the guy in the shop cautioned that the systems, while compatible, were different and might be easier to learn if we were both learning one or the other. So I settled on Legion and never looked back, I've thoroughly enjoyed the army and playing against my GF. Well about April of last year we moved back to my home town of Houston. I have friends and family that played or have since started playing so I'm really starting to get into the game.

    Faction(s) : Legion and Cygnar

Theme : My Legion theme is its own. Cygnar will be a Red/Off-White/Silver/Bronze color scheme

What I plan to paint : For Christmas I just Cygnar about 50 points worth, and I got a few Legion pieces I've been putting off

Intro: Hey I'm Mike, some people know me, others don't. I am playing WarmaHordes for a while now, but started for real two years ago (and some). I mostly play Skorne and try to pick up other factions that get traded eventually for something else.

Factions: Skorne. I also got some Cryx, we'll see how long that will last though.

Theme: Skorne is using a Beige/Brass and for Cryx I plan on using a dirty-white/blue/brass with verdigris. (I like light stuff)

Plan: Initial plan is to get a 50pt Venethrax force done as well as working on my eternal quest with my Skorne. Cryx will be the focus for the next few weeks though.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm in.

Intro: I've been playing Khador since just before Escalation came out, but have never finished my army. I've decided that I really want to be fully painted for Lock and Load this year. I've also recently acquired some Skorne, and plan on starting to play them after LnL.

Theme: My Jacks are almost all black, with red and silver highlights, and my units often go towards the same. My Ironfangs and Karchev (and his battlegroup) are done in Bastion Grey (kind of a greenish Khaki) with black accents. What isn't black as a primary color is a dark grey, and I tend to paint my mercs to match my Khador.

Plan: I need to get my Kayazy's painted and my Winterguard, since they will end up being some of the most important pieces in my play style. All of my jacks are painted except for Black Ivan and Torch, and I'll probably get Ivan going since I play hark so much.

What I plan to Paint: The rest of my Khador. i am only missing the Bombardiers and I have the entire faction, and I plan on getting everything but the kossites painted (since they will sit on a shelf until they get a UA. In total this should be Mechanicks, Ironfangs, Kayazys, Winterguard Infantry and Rifle Corps, Dommreavers, all the Man-O-Wars and I think pIrusk and Strackov are the only caster I have left to paint.

Okay, I'm late to the game, and my camera-fu is horrid, but here goes:

Intro : I'm Darkmeer. I just stripped my entire Khadoran collection after finding a theme that worked really well for me, making for quite the interesting time. I've been collecting models that I thought looked fun since Mk1, and now get more opportunities to play. I've got some folks at work interested in playing, but they want to see the game more before they take the plunge. Between that and my children (8 and 5) taking an interest, I really want to get some things painted this year. Therefore...

Faction(s)* : Khador BB, the old metal one, Cygnar BB, again the old metal one, and Magnus BB are my top priorities.
Khador has quite a few fun models, especially since I've been collecting them.

Theme* : (if applicable) Khador is going to be an off-5th border legion scheme. Cygnar is Brown & Blue, and my Magnus BB group is Green with yellow hazard stripes (I hope) with some hints at Cygnar blue in one piece of each warjack (we'll see how it goes).

What I plan to paint :
At least three war Casters: pSorscha (old BB), Stryker, and Magnus.
All 'Jacks: Juggernaut, Destroyer, Ironclad, Lancer, Charger, Mangler, Talon, Renegade
Units: Full WGI +UA (rocketteers if I have gaming funds for them), Full Long Gunners +UA, Great Bears of Gallowswood, Widowmakers
Solos: Kovnik Joe, Koldun Lord, Journeyman Warcaster

I plan on doing most of my basing at the end of the year, although I'm going to do SOME base work on a few models to see what I like. I will likely just do a rocky base, since I'm not super confident on this aspect yet (or at all).

If I have time I have a lot of other things that need painting, so here we go, taking the plunge
