    Default suggestions for army lists

Hey all, based on the following units, which would be good as a list, I do not have the money to buy more units so I must work with what I have.

    All suggestions welcome.

    War Casters:
    pSorscha
    pVlad
    pButcher

    Jack Marshal's:
    Koldun Lord
    MOW Kovnik

    War Jacks:
    Destroyer x2
    Juggernaut x2
    Kodiak

    Infantry:
    MOW-Shocktroopers (3 + 2)
    Widowmakers
    Winterguard + Rocketeer (6 + 1)

up to 50 pt, single caster preferably.

the link in my sig gives a list for everything i have using forward kommander's 3 caster option 50 pt list. That's just there to list everything I currently have.

    35 points

Butcher - You like metal right?
    Juggy
    Juggy
    Kodiak

    MoW STx3
    Kovnik
    -Destoryer

You are going to want to get some mechanics. Lots of them, soon as you can. Butch can run jacks really well with full throttle, and his feat makes sure what ever you target will die. This list is not flexible, but will hit like a truck, be as aggressive and in your face as you can.

You could also try dropping one jug and filling out your MoW STx5 and add in the snipers for a little more ranged support.

at 50 points you really want to get some mechanics. this will go for all three of your casters. you are pretty much stuck running jack heavy. even if you can just get the card and use the winter guard to proxy them.

    50 points
    Butcher

    destoryer
    juggy
    juggy
    kodiak

    MoW STx5
    koldun lord
    kovnik
    -destroyer

the koldun kovnik and destroyer work as a team.
but they are costly for what they do.
if you can get two units of mechs you can drop the koldun
or shift around the jacks and MoWs to add in your snipers and one unit.

with out joe, i do not bother with the WG but you might have better luck with them than with a second destroyer.

    love luck and lollipops

not sure if I understand but, 2 squads of mechaniks?
that could get pricey (unless they come in a box like the shocktroopers (3 units) do)...

I will try both lists later on this week, definitely the 35 point one...

is the following 15 point list do-able?

    butcher
    2 juggernauts
    3 mow-shocktroopers

    14 points...

the reason i ask is, a friend of mine might be getting into warmachine and most likely we will be doing battle group box battles for a demo tomorrow down at the local Skyfox Games store...
according to forwardkommander the khador box (sorscha + destroyer + Juggernaut) is only 11 points...

    butcher 15
    juggy
    kodiak

    koldun lord
    widowmakers

Koldun is there to give out a focus until he gets in range to spray something, the widow makers should be used to keep things off your jacks and as always play forward.

    my 15 point list:
    butcher 15
    juggy
    kodiak

    koldun lord
    widowmakers

    versus:

    Mercs and stuff:
    Magnus

    Renegade x2
    Trencher squad - minimum fielded
    Solo's Kell Bailoch (spelling?)
    & Eiyriss.

    summary:
Denied focus for the whole game, was only able to take out 2 of the trenchers and Eiyriss before Butcher finally got pecked to death...

I am not very good at detailed play by play...

Ouch. Yeah. Thoes are two powerful solos that give even experianced players a tough time. The most often heard advice you will hear is, bring your own Eiyiriss and Kell, but i would encourage you not to allow any elves into your lists.

Learning how to place terrain so you can move up the feild with cover is a skill you will have to learn to play khador well. Your kodiak runs in the forests, so placing one right in the middle of the map is a good way to give yourself some cover. You will often find you have fewer models than your opponents, so do not be afraid to push for lots of terrain and make bottle necks.

mostly you will just have to learn with time. the butcher can be hard to play against shooty lists.

You could think about dropping the snipers and the wizard and then buying a Ogrun Bokur to be the butchers body guard, and take the shot from the elf. Then you have three points to get a dog and kell.

terrain is a great idea, we didnt have any this time.

dunno about adding mercs (and another deck to my army)... though i have been thinking of replacing my current jacks with decimators... lol.
