I still have to find a suitable handle/handles.
C&C appreciated, I'm far too drained to see positive things. I need sleep...

Brilliant build! Absolute love it. I hope you remember to come back and post some shots of it in use during a game.

    Go right ahead!

As for commissions, why not. I'm up for it. BUT building a table like this would cost a lot. The materials themselves and about 150 hours of work.
But by all means, PM me if you're interested.

The hinges and latches are from a local DIY shop.

The horror of the plaster casting reveals itself, lol. Glad to see the lamposts were magnetized, good solution.

Not plaster but resin. And I had the muy rapido type which can be de-molded in 15 minutes. It was mainly gluing the pieces and sawing and fitting the ones that went on the edges.
There were a million things and each took more or less time but casting the bits was pretty quickly done.

    Two scratch built houses done.

I think they fit well with the atmosphere of the table.

A few details in case someone didn't notice...

    Many more houses to build...

They were carved with a modeling knife to get them deeper so painting them with PVA glue won't obscure them.

I agree, how did you do the brick?

Completley awesome and worth every penny for a commission I'm sure. I think the biggest deterent to a commission is paying to ship this thing.

I use Vallejo paints but here is the recipe using Citadel paints:
    - Drybrush with Dark Flesh
    - Drybrush individual bricks with a brown/orange mix, imperial blue and random colors you feel like drybrushing. Metallic colors are a no-no.
    - Carefully dry brush with Bleached Bone.

That's it. The key is to get enough randomness on the bricks.

Those bricks do look gorgeous. I think it's your bleached bone (or equivalent) dry brush at the end that really makes them pop. I'll definitely have to give that method a try and remember to use some cool colors like blue in there. The effect is really outstanding.

I have been super tempted to get some of those buildings. They are just above what I am comfortable paying. The paintwork is fantastic, the bricks especially.

Seriously beautiful work. haha I was wondering who that was on the no hope poster... looked so familiar but I couldn't think of it... feel stupid now.

I think I'll second the request for a house with beady fish eyes peering out.

Well I never could find the hinges locally but the best substitute I found is called a card table hinge. They will work great but you can't find anything like that where I live, online I go. Anyway do you have any WIP pics or a tutorial of the scratch build houses? Terrific work keep it coming.

Hello again, I don't know if you can do this or not, but I had other ideas for your city.

    -Dagon (Heathens. XP) Temple
    -Gold Refinery
-Flotsam and Jetsam from Y'thani-thelei (sp?)/Devil's Reef washed up on shore (since they got damaged by a sub in the story).

I know your in Finland but I must know what those hinges are called. They are perfect for that style of table and the only thing stopping me from completing mine are those hinges. Any help would be great.
