Well, you could have read the whole page... I already replied to a similar question.

It would be kind to take pics when you first play on this board. thanks...

I died a little inside while reading this thread.
... now I realise how much time I need to spend to create this myself, the buildings and the streets are just beautiful. My wife-to-be wondered why I was looking at real-life backalleys and canals and what city they're in, pretty good compliments on your wonderful work.
At least you got Medieval/Rennaissance-era buildings where you live. The closest we have to that in Tx are the (mostly ruined) missions in San Antonio and a few other scattered spots. XP If I want to see stuff like that, I have to go see the faux buildings at the Rennaissance Festival or travel to New England or Florida. T_T It always irks me that here in the US ppl are so eager to demolish old buildings to put up new ones instead of just merely restoring the old ones. Of course, when I was in Europe for a short time, it would blow my mind to see a Burger King or a Gaming store in a building that was around before the US was even founded! XP
K, I'll stop rambling now, I don't want to de-rail this thread. T_T
Looks really awesome! I had in my mind to cover the open end of my folding board exactly how you did. I am glad to see that it works so well. I am very impressed with your board. Excellent Job!
Yes, I saw your suggestions. It's just that they're pretty hard to bring to life.
I mean, what does Dagon Temple look like? I'd love to have Cthulhu-themed buildings on the table but I honestly don't know how to make such things look good and appropriate.
That's why I'm going for regular, cool looking buildings with a little "cthulhu-tuning". I appreciate the suggestions, though!![]()
Ha!
And here I was thinking that these would be ready-to buy buildings, just like the Tabletop world ones, and I was searching the interwebs looking for Dagon Temple, flotsam from Y'thanei-Y'lei/Devil's Reef and Gold Refinery...
I did however stumble upon this :
Devil's Reef if nothing else, maybe a source of inspiration?
I think that I will definitely want to follow this and see what it looks like when it is finished and have some Warmahordes being played on it. Very Nice Job!
Wonderful board! Thanks for posting all of the pics...they're fantastic inspiration.
This is some truly awesome work. I am well inspired to build a portable table in the same vein myself.
It would be fairly easy to use Bog Trogs in that role. You could have a large sewer outlet and have a bunch of bog trogs hidden in it. Only very observant gamers could see their beady eyes staring out at the humans fighting above them...
"I ask you, do we permit our great people to fade into history? Do we? Or do we rattle the sword and shield, draw the bow, and make such a clamor as to be remembered for all time!" -The Consul Caelcyr Nyarr, speaking before the assembly of the Consulate Court, 605 AR
If your strategy relies on two 50/50 chances both succeeding you're going to fail three quarters of the time.
Well, for better or for worse, Lovecraft said his inspiration for alot of his secret cults was the Freemasons due to their secrecy. XP So, I'd just do a general search for pics of Masonic building in New England and use them as inspiration for a Dagonite Temple. They tend to lean towards a Greco-Roman Revival look.
Those are very find houses, and the table is just mind blowing. Just an idea, Do you have any Med based models you're not using? If so I'd say make a nice fat Cthulhu Statue with base. That would put a more obvious spin on your Innsmouth, but I'm a big fan of statue terrain.

I did order a "bag of cthulhu" but I never received it. Out of stock, they said...
There would've been 20 small and a few little bigger Cthulhu statues to flog the table with... The search continues.
i just got cream jeans. thank!

REALLY, REALLY, REALLY SSSaWWWEEEETTT. That looks so much fun to play on. AWESOME job.
Do you have rules for Jacks or beasts re throwing the extra boxes and barrels? Could a barrel of beer put a jacks out? How about a barrel of liquor hitting a beast and then Menoth causing fire, a flaming warp wolf, I will pay to see that.
Again FANTASTIC job
Thank you!
Great idea, but the boxes and barrels are permanently pinned and glued onto the table.
So if someone decided to trow a barrel at my caster, I'd get fairly mad and throw them with a bottle of glue.![]()
More crazy ideas, I'm just full of it, eh crazy ideas that is.
Can a two handed jack, say Thunderhead, grab the lamp post and have a REACH weapon?
Yes, when I played RPGs I drove the GM insane with my thoughts.
Again, AWESOME gaming table.
Love the pics and I am really interested to see the final product, please keep it going.
THANKS!
That looks really fine and like a wonderfull table to play.
Keep up your great work and take us with you by posting such pics.

Oh My god, with those two buildings in the centre, it looks like a monster!!! Love it! Are you putting any more buildings? I'm slowly working on my board, but I want as many buildings as possible (while still being playable). Once you're done with all the buildings, all painted, you gotta take some more pics! With civilians fleeing!
The two painted armies are amazing too, btw.
Aylw
Khador (Harkevich 150+pts, 5 casters, painted),
TrollBloods (Gunnbjorn 100+ pts, 3 casters painted), Mercenaries (Ashylnn 65+ points, painted ), Cygnar (Constance 60+ pts, 2 casters, painted), Cryx (Coven 50+ pts, 2 casters, painted), Skorne (Makeda 35+pts, painted) - 80 % Paint Complete
This is amazing....I would love to craft something like this...
Awesome! Where's that big more modern looking building from? And the small regulator house looking building? Keep up the good work and hope to see this board live some day (maybe in RopeCon?).

looks great, I've been working on a portable table myself, but nothing this elaborate. Looks fantastic.
Sorry for the viivästys, I've been franticly gaming and organizing PG stuff.
The big house is the Abandoned Factory from Ziterdes in Germany and the small house belongs to the same kit.
We have had plans to attend RopeCon so there is a slim possibility that the board will follow along. If the RopeCon organizers let me take it...
Some more action-packed photos from the table:

Awesome to see it in action!
Yes, it's not always that horrible to live in cold, dark Europe.![]()
We have a lot of beautiful old buildings, castles and cities in more or less every country in the whole EU.
On a sidenote, I visit this thread from time to time just to bask in the glory of the most beautiful AND practical gaming table I've ever seen.
It is so incredibly inspiring to look at, and I wish that I can find the time and patience to do something like this myself when we get a bigger house.
The pictures with fully painted armies going at each other look amazing.
Keep it up, I absolutely love your work.
This table is fantastic, so nice that I might have to build something simillar myself. Time to get out the sketch pad.
Where did you get the light posts?

That table is absolutely fantastic. I love how overbuilt it is, kind of looks like you could roll a truck over it and it would be alright.
