My Khador army and display table. http://privateerpressforums.com/show...71#post1728071
I'm thinking that this is coming up just a little too soon after we actually got Black Dragons. In fact my Black Dragon kit hasn't even arrived from PP yet, lets thank them first and let it sit before another campaign strikes up. At least until March at the earliest. Think of it from the Developers shoes, they give us something that we want and then we just turn around and ask for something else - thats not showing anybody in a favorable light. Literally its 1 week and 1 day since the Black Dragon upgrade kits were even released!
Personally - yeah I do want Lazar Grigsov in my Khador army, but I think that they are going to be releasing all of the Iron Kingdom models into the game as it is (Another guy that would be awesome is Seth Alkot). Just look through the Iron Kingdom miniatures and you see a Cygnarean Wizard, a couple of mechaniks, a trollblood adventurer, a Bridge Troll, etc. All of the miniatures are rock solid.
All in all, i'd say just thank PP for awhile - it just shows that we're ungrateful for what we have when we turn around and keep demanding other models and figs this soon after we just got something that we wanted. Some may disagree - but thats my 2 cents
After thinking about it a bit, I'm with Pyrodude on the "let's wait a bit" suggestion.
If we're making a character Widowmaker Unit, let's call it "Band of Campers". Includes WM, WMMM, Lazar, Alten, Kell.![]()

Whatever upgrades and new Units that PP puts out for us is going to take several months, if not years, of development. I don't see anything wrong in letting them know far in advance what the Community is interested in.
You just don't get it - lets pretend in this scenario that i'm 7 and I ask say my dad for a snickers bar. He goes to the store and he buys me a snickers bar and then he comes home and gives it to me. I grab the snickers bar and say thank you - then I ask for a milky way bar. That would show that i'm just a spoiled little brat - my dad at that point would take away the snickers bar and not get me a milky way bar. You want to know why? because he'd want to teach me to be appreciative of what I have. In this example I should take the snickers bar and thank him, and then eat it and enjoy it. The next time i'm hungry, then I might ask for a milky way bar. Point is I honored his efforts in getting me a snickers bar, and I didn't bug him for every little want.
We haven't even opened the Black Dragon shields yet, the developers did the work to actually get us what we wanted. Its quite rude to simply say well give me this now. Lets take the time to say thank you first, and let it rest for a little while (just like letting the snickers bar digest). Thats showing class, and is a way to show respect. PP honored us by actually listening to us to give us what we wanted with the Black Dragons - lets show them the same honor by not hounding them immediately for something new. Just let it rest for a little while - i'm not against a Lazar campaign or whatever comes along, i'm just not for the timing. It does not spin Khador players in a good image when it comes along this quickly.
Yeah, there is nothing wrong with saying PP I want this - but at least have the common courtesy to enjoy what they have given us first and truly take it "out of the wrapper" and put it on the table and run it through its paces first.
Pyrodude's pretty much got the right of it. ^^;
"No mercy."
I strongly disagree that saying "Thank you. May I please have a Milky Way?" is in any way spoiled or disrespectful. If the child is still hungry, it should ask for food - it is, after all, incapable of getting food any other way (you picked a really good analogy, by the way). No one is suggesting that the child throw a tantrum, or demand a Milky Way, or anything of the sort.
If you asked for anything other than a Butterfinger, you done screwed yourself.
But on a more relevant note, I don't think this is a "Give me this, I want it now" Campaign as much as a "Hey... since you like to give us stuff we ask for, here is a suggestion for the next time you're giving out presents" kind of Campaign.
I do understand Pyrodude's apprehension at overreacting to PP's generosity. If we get too crazy about campaigning for the things we want, it's just a matter of time until everyone and their grandmother is making banners to demand everything that their heart desires. Eventually, PP will get tired of it, and just ignore us.
Personally, I don't think that this is anywhere near getting out of hand. In addition to that, from a business point of view, aren't we actually doing PP a service by telling them ahead of time what we are willing to spend our money on? What company wouldn't love to know what their customer base is seriously interested in before they even invest the money to develop it? Yes, I do believe that we should thank PP for the Black Dragons. We should thank them with our money. If the Black Dragon upgrade sells in high numbers, I believe PP will be grateful that we pointed them in the right direction. Why wouldn't they want to listen to more customer input?
Woa - easy.
Let me just add that: While I think that one could wait a bit, it does not mean I'm no longer supporting the idea...
I just got afraid that this "issue" might cause a schism, however slight, where completely unnecessary.

I'm not against it on principle, but honestly, I think the next one should be for another faction ^^
i am with this guy, however i would also rather see something for MoW First. My STs do awesome for what i use them for. the DC breaks bones and metal. the Bombardiers are a unit of Deviations and heavy armor. however they do lack a bit... if they had a Solo like grigorvich that would be awesome. i am in the Club that is against the MoW Kovnik >.> i might be the only member to >.>

I say Cygnar/Mercs could use some proper magic mumbo-jumbo. High Magus Thanos Terpwell it is for me! It could be a 2 arms replacement kit for the Stormcaller mini. Time for the rest of Immoren to remember who is *the* authority on destructive magics. And he could be completely psychotic too! Like Berserk but with Fireballs!
