Problem is, they'd have to make two, or else make something that works for both pacts which would kind of spoil the flavor.

Theres some merc rumors floating around that Rhul is getting the merc battle engine to even things out. Could be what Minions will get, battle engine for one side, megabeast for the other. Empty bank account in the middle.

I hope do to the very split nature of Minions they either have one that can be taken by any of the minion locks (The merc one will probably be used by everyone but the two rhuls), or they make a pretty fun Minion BE and give it to one side and have the other have the Colossal.

I would love for Barny to go epic with his death and his epic version be a huge-based Avatar of Barnabas, but it's too soon.

It would also be nice if it had Minion - Blindwater, Thornfall, so everyone's happy but I can't really think of anything that isn't completely and utterly stupid with such an idea.

Could always have some kind of gigantic necromantic voodoo contruct as a battle engine I guess? I can't really think of anything else that wouldn't be even more completely stupid for Gators... Colossal could easily be some giant swamp monster. Or again, some horrible undead monstrosity.

Pigs its pretty easy either way. They could have a shoddy cart full of pigs and guns or something really crazy that the ol' doctor makes.

If Mercs are getting two huge basers in Colossals then I can only hope the same for minions. At the very least one that can be used by both factions maybe with optional parts with it? skulls and such for gators and cy-pork parts for the farrow.

Can we trade the Colossal and Battle Engine for four warbeasts? Three of those for Farrow?

I'd personally be pretty disappointed if Blindwater got the Colossal and Farrow was stuck with a Battle Engine, but that'd be about par for the way the pacts have been developed so far. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Blindwater got both.

I don't want a collassal or Battle Engine for minions. I want both pacts to get 1-2 new warlocks, 1-2 new solos, Farrow 2-3 Beasts and 1 unit and Gators 1 beast and 2-3 units.

If they do a single colossal for both factions then you might see something like a Fog Drake or the like. A generic non-specific warbeast.

Actually I think that the new league rules seem to imply that as the game goes forward Blindwater and Thronfall will be more separated.

I can see a Blindwater book and a Thornfall book in the next 3 years or so.

I think we won't see Colossal-like creatures for HORDES that fast, since they need some ideas about that first. How could be a troll even LARGER than a dire? How to deal with the damage? Will it be 2 spirals then?
Pointcost and FM are another story.

Well, I think I want more the colossal-like for both faction before getting the first battle engine, since they'll be likely like beasts, therefore Thornfall would get another beast (3 beasts aren't much variaty) and you'll know more or less what kind of function it will be have on the field.
At smaller games I rarely see any BE, because they're no infantry, no jacks/beasts and with the "old school-tactics" they don't work: No boosting, no forcing, no additional attacks (normally).
So they can't take the place of beasts and can't pin down beasts as good as infantry.

Therefore a colossal-like would be more benefical for starters, so we can run smaller games with a HEAVY-hitter!!!

Well, let's see how the Colossals will turn out. ^^

In other news if the WM side of things are anything to go on it seems like the colossal models are all hybrid platform alot like the Behemoth. Lotsa guns for the shootsies and alot of melee potential. Considering the good Dr's fluff its not out of the question for minions to get some giant mutant with a laser cannon in his chest
