    OKAY!

The thread title really should be changed though if its Ossrum and not Ossram. Either way its a weird name. Entirely too close to @$$RAM or AWESOME.

Good lord! A new Rhulic caster, a new bear, *and* Searforge cavalry?! With that guy around I wouldn't feel like a dumb-a** if I bought Brun and Lug, either!

Ah. Well, maybe one of the mods will come by and do it at some point.

Not that it's a huge deal or anything, but it always sucks when people make up silly nicknames for a model you like. Like... if people started calling my Magnus "magnet" or something I'd die a little inside. ( to be fair he is part metal! :P )

Bear cav would be cool, but I don't want to see any stereotypical dwarves in Rhul (as already discussed earlier).
I could certainly imagine a very well armored bear with cannon(s). What about the 1st warcaster with a dismount? Hehe, of course it's unlikely. Probably the epic epics will be like that?
But still, hereby I'd like to remind the developers that bears can run surprisingly fast. So nope, it doesn't have to be SPD4.

All in all I'm rather sure that the concept of our new warcaster is already done, so no point in these...
Realistically I'm expecting something that I've explained in post #37.
But a new, bear cav unit would make a lot of us happy I'm sure.

Why? Khador is the land of the horse-lords. I doubt that Rhul getting bear cav would ruin the silly Kodiak bear jokes.

Random speculation. With a name like this and the title and everything, it's very likely he's going to be a dwarf. BUT... what about him being an Ogrun? When it comes to the names of characters in the world (mostly if someone has the character guide from the RPG), is Ossrum more of a dwarven name or an ogrun name? I'm still thinking dwarf, but just wanted to throw that out there.

I agree with this, as a Khadoran. We have horses and I think the bears would fit the dwarves better. But, they could mix it up and give us Rams (goats) instead... but, those could end up functioning similarly to the tuffalo...

Either way, I'm just thrilled that we're getting another option. Hopefully we'll see some "complimentary" choices as well, be it another solo, some Cavalry, or dare I hope... Character 'jack?

It is not a rule but generally an Ogruns surname is two words combined, ex. Hedlok, Longspear or Strongarm. Some Dwarven surnames do this as well but not nearly as much.

Now if you do a google search of ossrum it gives you results for ossum which is a common misspelling for awesome. So maybe PP is added their own twist by adding the "r" I don't know.

As of right now I am 50/50 on it and personally I am hoping that it will be an Ogrun.

All I found on google is "oss rum" being Norwegian/Swedish for "us room." Not likely to be related.

ONE other thing that PP did confirm (and no I don't know where but it was a PP staffer) is that the new Rhulic caster would be a DWARF.

Sorry to those guys hoping for an Ogrun.

As for General Ossrum, I hope for a big base dragoon/cav/Karchev-y warcaster type but expect a simple infantry-buff caster in the end (a la Carver).

I bought full High Shields + UA, but have regretted it because I can't find a place for them in my SR2012 lists. This is mainly due to the time restrictions though.

Maybe General Ossrum will make High Shields and OAC more viable? Maybe he'll give units Assault? Increased range? Increased speed? I'm very excited.

Bring three sets of three different colored dice - one for attacks, one for damage, and one for column/deviation. A lot of the higher caliber tourney players do this.

Well I do like the idea of being high caliber!

But still, all those little guys moving. Move forwards, fire, move back where you came from... it's a fiddle. Brun and Lug are my replacement and are much easier to move (and not just because they've got Pathfinder!).

What I'm really asking for is General Ossrum to grant Movement Tray to all infantry models. Why won't you listen, PP?

    Gosh, that would be horrible!
Still, if you always move them in a line / tight formation AND you don't turn I think you have the right to use a movement tray...
I mean it restricts you big time, but I don't think it's against the rules... simply dumb.

I agree fully that movement tray would be terrible...

I do not have too much trouble moving a lot of models quickly, but then again I played the Green Skins in $401k for ten years.

That somehow sees like cheating. Somehow.

Like, I rolled a six! What are the chances of me rolling another one in a row? Who cares, I've got two different dice! I wonder what chances are higher, rolling a 6 twice in a row or rolling two sixes on two dice.

Kind of like those people who roll three dice on boosted attacks with the colored one being the track. It bugs me! You should roll two dice, get a 7, then pick them up and roll them again! Their facing when you picked them up will give you a different number then if you rolled them with a different facing. It's science!

Exactly the same (1/36). You can't pre-roll sixes out of a die.

I don't understand this one. Rolling three dice for boosted damage and using one of those three to double up as column roll? That's illegal.

Simply rolling correct number of dice for damage and column together as long as they're clearly designated? No problem with that from either me, the rules or science.

Maybe he's a "General" like Rockbottom is a "Lord".

And there may or may not be other rhulic options in the new book, which may or may not have been stated by some from Privateer Press.

    Maybe.
