Was hoping to get a pinning kit so I could assemble my Carnivean, but I guess I'll hope that there's one in stock on Sunday. Otherwise the battle box is assembled... All four Shredders and lovely Lylyth. Who decided Legion should start with four Shredders?

Baldur and Woldwyrd assembled. Need to acquire a Woldwarden and assemble that then start painting. Fun times.

RoS being worked on...Manticore 98% done, just need to do front arc and seal. Ossyan up next and just purchased my next heavy-debating between another Manticore or Hydra for this round.

I'm doing Blindwater Congregation Minions, and for my Battlebox I'm going with Calaban plus a Blackhide Wrastler and an Ironback Spitter. Calaban and the Spitter are already painted, minus a little basing for the Spitter. Obviously I won't be claiming any hobby points for these models. The Wrastler I hope to do this week. I've gotten a fairly good method down for gators.

Magnus and his BG scored a couple victories tonight. Time to finish painting Magnus. Then off to start on the blocks of infantry!

Well, my stuff was already assembled for the Hordes Domination event that Bewie ran last Sunday, so I just had to show up and play.

My list:
Grim Angus
Dire Troll Mauler
Troll Axer

I got a game in against Ryan (playing Searforge: Gorten, Rockhammer, Blaster, Basher). After a 'standard' turn one (we both run/advance), I feated on turn 2 and my Mauler charged the Rockhammer (which also engaged the Basher) from a good bit away (11"ish) and wrecked it, also putting some damage on the Basher. The Axer charged tying up the Blaster and putting some damage on it. The Basher (with SOG) hit the Mauler twice for solid damage, then Gorten feated drawing the Mauler out of my control. The Mauler frenzied but, with -3 spd from Gorten's feat, he couldn't reach anyone so the Axer just Threshered, leaving the Basher with a couple of boxes and no Head. Gorten moved to the Axer, which already had him in reach, and swung killed it, camping several focus. On my turn, I had the Mauler charge into Gorten and only hit him once, for major damage, despite using all 5 fury. Grim charged the jacks and killed the Basher. Gorten went all out to kill the Mauler, but couldn't do it. On my turn the Mauler walked into Gorten (after being crit smited away) and boosted both initial attacks to kill him.

Second game was against John (playing the Legion Battlebox): Standard turn one. Turn two Lylyth feats and shoots the Mauler (behind a wall) and rolls triple sixes for damage, then casts eruption of spines on him, doing 3 damage to the Axer and nothing to anyone else. The Carnivean assaults the Mauler and rolls triple sixes for damage, leaving it with about 3 boxes left. The Shredders run to engage the Axer. On my turn, I feat, heal 2 boxes on the Mauler, shoot Lylyth with Headhunter and try to cast Marked for Death on her - but miss. The Mauler charges her and boosts both initials, killing a Shredder with her transfer(still doing 3 damage to her) and almost killing her with the second. I use Chain Attack:Grab and Smash to headbutt her for the kill.

It was a good time, but I can't wait until we have some other stuff to use...I'm not used to games this small.

Oh, and I tried and failed to get my Shredders done last night due to an unexpectedly bright green. Blighted? Nah, that's radioactive.

I'll be in the shop on Sunday and plan to airbrush my models basecoats if anybody is interested in how that process works.

Plan on being there on Sunday also for some journeyman gaming, though might only have "legs" for my 2nd jack done.

Sarah and I will be there tomorrow, and I'll probably be there on Monday as well. I finally figured out the green for my Shredders, so those are done for tomorrow's gaming. As for Sarah... Well, she puts me to shame. Her three 'jacks are almost all base coated.

The biggest thing I have learned so from this is, Remember the Scenario. If you don't play the scenario, you will lose.

So.. my friend and I are there most Tuesdays now (we were there today playing a 50 point game... I was the Cryx player). Can someone tell me what a Journeyman league is? We keep getting asked, and we don't mean to be 'outsiders', but we don't know anything about it. By 'we', I mean 'me'. I don't know anything about it.
