    Default Circle Battle Log

So hey. Been meaning to do a battle report thread for a while - I do a lot of batreps in my list threads, but figured it would be good to get them all in one area. Will update this as I test out different lists and tune the various Circle locks.

Just wrote up the first game, Cassius v eGrissel at 50 points. Not the best game to start with, but eh.

Also, the batreps are lengthy and likely boring to read, so be warned!

    eGrissel
    - EBDT
    - Impaler
    Max Fenns + UA
    Max Burrowers
    Min Tuffaloes
    Horthol
    Janissa
    Trollses
    Champ Hero
    Fell Caller

Scenario was Demolition (I think) - the one with two zones and a central objective that blows up if destroyed or when controlled by the caster.

I was given first turn and set up with the Wolves, Morraig and the Stalker opposite my opponents zone (the one I had to score on), Wolf Riders and Megalith guarding my zone and everything else central. My opponent had the Tuffaloes and Horthol opposite the WoO, Fenns going for the zone guarded by Mega + Riders and everything else central.

First turn consisted of everything running. I sacrificed a Bone Grinder to do the Fertilizer trick, getting a Grove far up field but safe from Grissels shooting (dont know if she had the range, but better to be safe). In response the Burrowers went underground, the Fenns ran and spread out, forcing the issue on the Wolf Riders but keeping the bulk of the unit safe with free strike zones. Everything else advanced or hid behind Janissa' wall.

My second turn was sweet. I had Wormwood ported up near the Fenns, Megalith toed the zone, dropped Undergrowth and Cursed the Fenns and the Wolf Riders assaulted 14" through the front Fenns and into the bulk of the unit. They only capped 4 models, but got the UA before he could use the mini-feat. Success! The Blackclad sprayed another 3 to death and after Cassius ported the Tree back to safety he dropped a Hellmouth killing another two. This left 3 Fenns alive, basically giving me that flank. On the left flank 4 Wolves got into his cav (misjudged their threat), killing both.

This was the board at the start of my opponents third turn. Janissas wall has been removed and the Fenns resolved Vengeance against the Wolf Riders, killing one.

(Forgot to take pics, this is the only one... btw Mohsar is Cassius, Ravagers are Groves)

So my opponent was reeling, but still had options. The Burrowers popped up, and combined with the remaining cav, killed most the Wolves. I stuff up here and had Wormwood too far away to gather their souls... Grissel moved up and tried to cap the objective, but left it on 4 health. She did kill the Grove behind it though. Everything else advanced again, with the Fenns getting into and killing two Wolf Riders. The EBDT kept its distance, wary of my Stalkers port range. My lack of familiarity with SR2012 cost me here - we realised at the end of the turn he had scored on the objective, as his caster was within 4" and I had no models contesting. Would be bad in a tournament!

Next turn I killed the remaining Fenns with the Clad, and Megalith successfully Strangeheld the Earthborn, removing that threat for a turn. Cassius Hellmouthed the last Tuffalo, dragging in a bunch of Burrowers killing half the unit. Morraig dismounted Horthol on the charge and the mount did 10 damage to him - but he passed tough. Question here - does the mount attack benefit from Flank? We played that it did, but not sure. I feated this turn, limiting his options further.

My opponent tried to score the second point on the objective this turn (forgot about it again...). He had Grissel move up and spray the objective, hoping to tag the two Gobbers who were my only contesting models. They were more than 3" into the forest from her though, so the spray failed. With that my opponent feated and camped 5 fury. He killed the remaining Wolves, punched Morraig with Horthol and passed turn.

So Def 15, Arm 19 while engaging and 5 transfers. After some quick calculations, I decided to go for it. Megalith got ported into her back arc, punched once for the debuff then Cursed her. As she wasnt engaging him she was only Arm 15, so he forced a transfer and put damage onto her. I then had Cassius Hellmouth a model in front of her, trying to drag her forward enough so that I could port the Stalker to her back arc. This failed, but he went to her front and dropped her on the third bought attack.

    .................

First game against eGrissel, though not the best advertisment for her. Cassius seems to be a tough matchup for Trolls, but this was only my third game with him so hopefully it gets worse for them. Game was played on Friday night, worth pointing out because my opponent wasnt as switched on as he normally is.

Got two 35 point games in today with eBaldur. First time using him and also first time testing out 7 minute turns - time wasnt really an issue (its a simple list), and im pretty happy with how he performed. List for both games was:

    eBaldur
    - Megalith
    - Feral
    - Woldwatcher
    5 Gatorman Posse
    Stones + UA
    Stones
    Gallows Grove

    Reinforcements: Woldwyrd and a Blackclad

First game was against pStryker. He was running a Stormclad, Stormblades + UA + 3 WAs, 5 Ogrun Assault Corp + Murdoch, Sylys, Journeyman, Ragman and Rhupert. Reinforcements were a Lancer and a Stormsmith. Mission was the Flank one with the two 8" zones far apart. Deployment had the Ogrun facing off against the Gators on the flank I had to score on, with everything else on the left flank.

Game was a grind. He had first turn and feated top of two. I had the Watcher taking point with Roots and he wasnt able to hurt it at all. My reinforcements came on turn two, and the Woldwyrd was able to move up and kill Murdoch with help from Purgation (they had Arcane Shield on them). With the feat no longer affecting them, the Gators charged and killed a couple. In return Megalith killed a couple of Stormguard in melee, everything else positioned or failed to kill stuff. Baldur dropped a wall and feated.

His reinforcements came on this turn, with the Lancer running to get position to arc. He went for an Earthquake on the Feral, only to find out the feat prevents KD... The Stormguard brick put a bit of hurt on Mega thanks to Dark Shroud but that was about it. In return I got the Feral into the Stormclad through a cheeky double port and wrecked it. With most threats removed, Baldur moved up, Roots himself and Megalith and dropped a wall. Stryker went for the assassination, but failed badly. Baldur at PS 19 then two shotted him.

Second game was Restoration against Amon. He had Fire of Salvation, two Dervishes, the shield guard light, the flamethrower light, max Choir, Daughters and the book. Maybe some other stuff. Given the scenario, everything deployed centrally.

My opponent got the alpha on bottom of turn 2, with the Dervishes charging frontline stuff and getting Side Steps into the Stones, breaking a set. I had feated, so I took minimal damage. I stuffed up the placement of the Rock Wall, and Fire of Salvation got into the Feral. At 14/21 though he lived with about 1/3 boxes. In return I had the Feral get FoS down to about 10 boxes, and Baldur walked up and killed it (PS17). The Gators had taken out most of the Daughters and did half on a Dervish and the Watcher capped a Vassal. Megalith killed the other Dervish.

With most his jacks damaged or destroyed, my opponent was up against it. The shield guard light charged the damaged Feral, but wasnt able to kill it and the last Dervish killed a Gator. The Feral took down the shield guard light in return, the Gators killed the last Dervish and Baldur moved up, Roots himself and dropped a wall. Amon went for the assassination, but at 13/20 with two transfers, he couldnt get it done. Baldur smashed him with two PS 19 attacks for his troubles.

    ......................

So first two games with eBaldur and I like him. Both my opponents remarked that he is very different from normal Circle lists, with everything having really high armour. That can only be a good thing in a two list SR environment, as it could force your opponent into certain list choices, to which you can then counter. I like the way the list works, things bounce off under the feat, and you can whether two turns damage, by which time things will have died in return. PS17 isnt great on the Feral, but over two turns it gets it done. Baldur is a machine late game too, got both caster kills and finished off two jacks.

First time using the Woldwatcher too - Arm 24 makes it amazing at taking point, and the gun is pretty handy too. My opponents figured no point in trying to take it out at such high armour, so after killing engaging models it could shoot important backfield models. Capping that Vassal was handy, good gun to have in the list.

So got another game in with Cassius last night. Took more photos this time, so hopefully its easier to follow. Ive decided to lock the WoO list in as my tournament list, as its less than a week away and I dont have time to test different options.

So I played against the same Troll player from the last game, but using Borka this time. His list was:

    Borka
    - Mulg
    - Bouncer
    Max Champs + Skaldi
    Max Krielstone + SSE
    Min Long Riders
    Horthol
    Champ Hero
    Janissa
    SS Chronicler

Mission was Incoming. First time playing it, interesting scenario. You score a point for controlling the objective on your side of the board, two points if you destroy your opponents objective and clear their zone. I decided I had no chance of doing this, so planned to block of what could get to my objective and get heavies up to his.

My opponent had first turn, our deployments looked like this:

Everything of his ran up first turn, Champs at full speed but the Long Riders didnt go full distance. My first i decided to put on early pressure, so double ported Megalith up to just short of mid table. He then dropped Curse onto the Riders and cast Undergrowth to limit retaliation. The Grinders killed one of their unit (bad rolls) and the Wolves charged/ran, killing two of their own number and spreading out. The left Grove ported up, Cassius pulled the souls from the tree and boosted a Hellmouth at the Long Riders, and boosted damage on all three killing one, and leaving the other two on one health each. The Wolf Riders and Morraig moved up onto the right flank, and the Blackclad ported up behind Megalith.

With Undergrowth up the Riders couldnt get to Megalith or the Groves, which was handy. My opponent made a crucial error here, with the Champ brick falling for the Wolf Rider bait, running towards them rather than the objective. Everything else moved up to position, with Borka dropping the Artillery AOE on the left Grove, but not killing it.

In return I had the Blackclad move around Megalith, spraying both Long Riders and killing them (upkept Curse to make sure). The Wolves popped minifeat and charged up, killing a few Krielstone chumps, but more importantly engaging the Champs for Morraig. One also ran 3" in front of Mulg for a Hellmouth target. Morraig and the Wolves put a bit of hurt on the Champs, and used the light cav moves to block their movement. Cassius Hellmouthed the sacrificial WoO, dragging Mulg forward. This brought him into Stalker port range. Cassius missed Mulg with the Curse though, but popped feat for protection. The Stalker got Primaled, dropping Mulg to 2-3 boxes. Megalith moved up, finished the job and dropped animus to deny Borka charging him.

Game pretty much ended at this point. I score a point on my objective, the following turn my opponent couldnt fight through the Wolves/Morraig screen with the Champs, so I score the second and third points in quick succession, winning the game.

    ----------------

Continuing to enjoy Cassius. Hellmouth is a fun spell to have in your arsenal, its uses are endless. Dragging Mulg forward was awesome, obvious move but good regardless. Cassius is a legit answer to Trolls, outside Grim they really seem to struggle against him. Will be testing the list against Retribution next, so will see how it stands up to something that shoots (and well). Might do a batrep for that, otherwise will update on Sunday once the tournaments are over.

Nice thread, great bat reps as usual.

Could you post your list up, i'm sure i've seen it somewhere but can't remember it (although I can work most of it out from the pics).

Is your tourniment multiple lists - if so whats the pairing - Cassius and ?

You make Cassius look a lot of fun, I still can't get enthaused about EBaldur, but then I was never a Baldur fan really.

Heh whoops. Copied the first batrep from the Circle forums, completely forgot to add it to this thread.

    List is:

    Cassius
    - Megalith
    - Stalker
    - Gorax
Max Wolves of Orboros + UA
    Min Wolf Riders

    Min Bone Grinders
    Stones + UA
    Stones
    Morraig
    Blackclad
    Swamp Gobbers
    Groves
    Groves

Tournament is dual lists and im taking pKrueger alongside him. I dont think they make an especially good pairing, but ill have had about 5 games with Cassius before the tournament, so taking my best all-rounder list as a safety net. Its actually two tournaments on the same weekend which is cool. 35 points on saturday and 50 on the sunday. Ill be taking eBaldur and pKrueger to the 35 point event.

I know what you mean on Baldur too. Ive tried to learn pBaldur a few times now, but I find him a bit boring - that said I have just been bricking up, but I dont know he is best played. eBaldur is more of a brick caster than prime, but it seems kinda fun. Maybe it will wear off, but seeing my opponents complaining about my insane armour across the board brought a smile to my face. Its something pretty different to everything else in the faction, and coming to Circle from Khador, its been fun to have a beatstick guy like eBaldur walking around wrecking face.

And cheers for the comment, good to know at least someone is getting something from this.

Hey, no worries. Sometimes the bat rep section seems a little quiet, perhaps a little self promotion in the circle forum? at least for the tourniment. Anyway you've had 100 views (unless that was yourself checking your own thread 100 times... ).

I wouldn't mind a peak at your pKruger list, unless you want to keep it on ice till after your tourni. I play lightning man a lot and have a very happy 50 point list, but I do like seeing what people come up with for him.

nice reps, and glad to see Cassius get some love, he seems a much maligned caster (as in not good.... But this is according to interwebs so shovel of salt needed)

Heh, all the views were mine!

Nah your right though, I should let the Circle forum know this thread is here. Will likely link to it once ive done the tournament reports.

Got no problems sharing the pKrueger list, my local opponents know it anyway.

    pKrueger
    - Stalker
    - Feral
    - Warden
    - Gorax
    Max Gators
    Druid + UA
    Stones + UA
    Stones

Thats the regular version anyway. A freind wants to borrow the Gators so she can come, so im dropping them for Bloodweavers, a Blackclad and two Groves. Makes the list a little weaker, but im not that fussed. Ive done pretty well with the Gator list, it went 4-1 in a recent tournament (won the 6th game with Kromac) finishing 3rd out of a 62 player field. So im confident in how it runs, hence pairing it with Cassius.

@ SevenSins - Cheers for the comment. Im only a few games into Cassius but I dont see why he gets such a bum rap on the forums. Groves has changed his game massively though, with them he seems like a pretty damn good Warlock - at least so far. Will have to wait till I play Legion with him before making a final call on that.

So time to start writing up my games from the two tournaments over the weekend. Due to the really annoying photo limit, this is going to have to be spread out over a heap of posts, so sorry bout that...

    But anyways.

First event was a 35 pointer. First local tourney with SR2012 and also the first time anyone had played 7 minute turns (outside practice). The numbers werent as high as usual, and I definitely think the shortened time played a factor - it drove the casual tournament players away. We ended up with about 20 players though, which is still a pretty decent turnout.

    Lists for this event were:

    pKrueger
    - Stalker
    - Feral
    - Warden
    - Gorax
    Stones + UA
    Stones
    Gobbers
    Groves
    Groves
    (Reinforcements: Bloodweavers, Blackclad)

    eBaldur
    - Megalith
    - Feral
    - Woldwatcher
    Max Gators
    Stones + UA
    Totem Hunter
    (Reinforcements: Morraig, Blackclad)

The Krueger list is pretty obvious in its approach, so no need to explain that. I only got 3 games experience going into the tournament with eBaldur (going 2-1), so this list isnt as honed. I dropped the second set of Stones and the Gallows Grove the morning of the tournament for the Totem Hunter, somewhat on a whim. I found the double Stones less effective with eBaldur, as his playstyle invites your opponent to crash against your brick, and then mop up. The potential threat of the double port was less effective, as I didnt want to shift beasts outside potential Roots range, and they were getting in my way with his brick-ish nature during the praccy games. Plus the Totem Hunter is a sweet model who I havent used in ages.

Game 1, vs Saeryn - Outfight, Outflank, Outlast (Reinforcement scenario)

So first game, I get called out matching up against Obeisance (as he is known on here and Vassal). One of the top local players, he has recently switched factions to Legion and is still learning the ropes with them. He presented Saeryn and Kallus - I knew that he knew that pKrueger was a bad matchup for Kallus, so knowing he would go Saeryn, I chose eBaldur hoping his armour would counter his feat turn. His list was:

    Saeryn
    - Scythean
    - Scythean
    - Angelius
    - Shredder
    - Shredder
    Deathstalker
    Deathstalker
    Forsaken
    Forsaken
    Spell Matyr
    (Reinforcements: Min Raptors, Feralgeist)

Tough list. Obi won the roll for first and took it. His whole battlegroup was central, I deployed with the Gators and Totem Hunter on the right flank, Feral and Watcher to slightly left of center, with Megalith and Baldur up the guts. His Deathstalkers ADed opposite the Totem, who preyed one of them.

First turn everything of his runs up, with Saeryn dropping Respawn on the Angel and spamming Tenacities. The Deathstalker I preyed ran its 14" to the opposite side of the table to the TH (as to be expected). I responded with everything positioning upfield, but trying to stay outside his threat ranges. The Watcher advanced up and managed to get a sliver of LOS to a Forsaken, dropping it and Stone Forming. Baldur dropped the wall and with Megaliths help, Roots went up on the Watcher and Feral. Totem Hunter ran to the far edge of the right zone.

His reinforcements came on top of 2, this is what the battlefield looked like.

The Raptors moved up taking potshots into the Feral for no damage, and Light Cav moved into my backfield. Obi committed a little too heavily this turn, with all three heavies charging into melee. The right Scythean charge the Gator behind the obstacle, easily killing it, but was crucially outside the zone after the move. The Angel just had range on the Feral, but with 13 against the AP attack, he easily survived with no systems out (lucky!). The other Scythean spent a heap of fury wailing on the Watcher for maybe 5-6 damage. Love that guy. The Shredder moved to contest the zone, and the Deathstalkers did potshots at beasts with no single would infantry to kill (yay!). Saeryn obviously feated this turn, but otherwise kept safe.

So with all Obi's heavies commited, I was able to trap them this turn. My reinforcements came on, with the Blackclad coming on up the flank (tried to spray the Shredder, was marginally out). Morraig however came out from my deployment edge, getting as close to the Raptors as possible, then running to engage them. I couldnt break the brick to deal with them, so he was my best option. On the right flank, I had Gators and a Stone port up to block the right Scythean out of the zone, with the remaining Gators setting up free-strike lanes if the Shredder went for the Blackclad. Stones UA tried to Rock Hammer the Spell Matyr, but missed. On the left everything just positioned in the zone (except Megalith who kept a safe distance), Baldur feated and dropped the Wall jamming things further, and healed the Feral. The Totem Hunter ran to be behind the right zone, threatening his backfield.

(This photo was taken after my opponent had reaved Fury, the right Scythean frenzied and ate the Gator in front of it)

So with Obi running hot, the right Scythean failed frenzy - which was huge. This left him with just a Shredder versus half a Gator unit. To this end, both Deathstalkers made a mad dash to the zone. The Raptors wailed on Morraig, but a flurry of bad rolls saw him unscathed. The Angel did more damage to the Feral, but didnt come close to killing it and I tihnk the Scythean wailed on the Watcher again for minimal damage.

I was in a strong position now, just needed to clear the right zone, continue to brick on the left and win by scenario. The Gators put some hurt onto the right Scythean and killed the Shredder. Then Megalith popped his animus and charged the right Scythean, dropping it to about 1/3 boxes left. At this point I realised I hadnt been counting Wurm tokens at all, so left it to Obi as to what to do. We agreed to have it started on 1 from then, but even at Ps15 he easily finished the Scythean. The Totem Hunter lept in and took advantage of poor positioning of the Deathstalkers, killing both and Sprinting to threaten Saeryn again. With the help of Undergrowth, the Feral killed the Angelius while Morraig whiffed all his attacks against the Raptors. I scored a point.

The jig was just about up and Obi knew it. The Scythean wrecked the Feral (now that it was Arm 16), and the Raps put minor damage on Morraig. The Forsaken dropped a Bomb, doing minimal damage to the Watcher. Saeryn came forward and burnt her fury trying to spell Baldur, but failed (I cant remember what she cast). I scored again.

So result was academic, but we still played it out for VP purposes. Morraig went nuts, killing all three Raptors in the one turn. The Gators went in against Saeryn, but missed the lot with 6 attacks needing 9s and rerolls. Baldur powered up, charged in and creamed her in two hits, ending the game and scoring a third point.

So good start, my list choice was spot on - eBaldur is pretty damn sweet against Saeryn, which is very good to know!

Been a while between updates, but thought I should finish off the batreps for those two recent tournaments.

    Game 2 vs pButcher, Restoration

Opponent had pButcher and Karchev, had to choose pKrueger due to that being the only list with a Gorax. My opponents list was something like:

    pButcher
    - Beast 09
    - Kodiak
    - War Dog
    Max Kayazy + Underboss
    Widowmakers
    Great Bears
    Gorman

So plan going is was standard pKrueger. Use the feat and CL to remove the infantry, start piece trades with the Feral. The scenario played in my favour, as I could guard my objective and pick him apart at a distance, rather than being forced to get close.

I had first turn, and after the first round the table looked like this.

Gallows both shifted up and I bounced some CLs off his jacks, rolling low but killing some Kayazy. I got to the Underboss twice, but he passed both tough rolls. Everything else just held back and positioned. The Underboss tough rolls actually helped me out some, as in his turn he couldnt charge them forward without them all being out of command. With this in mind, they just advanced and spread out, the Widowmakers ran down my extreme left flank and everything else just ran up and positioned.

    (no picture this round)

My opponent had placed Beast 09 within teleport + reach range of the Feral, so that was the plan this turn. The Warden gave him Tendrils, he got Primaled and ported up, killing Beast and also killing the War Dog and a couple of Kayazy with electro-leaps. I had placed him to the far left of beast, which would hopefully draw Butcher away from the main fight if he decided to kill the Feral himself. Krueger dropped the feat this turn, killing all 4 Widowmakers with one template (bad positioning by my opponent), and also dropping a few more Kayazy including the Underboss - I think the Kayazy failed CMD this turn too. Krueger then arced a Tornado at the Kodiak to throw it out of charge distance, but needing a 3 to hit I rolled snake eyes...

So retaliation from Butcher was swift. He popped feat and charged the Feral, taking it down in about 3 swings. The Kayazy rallied and just milled around. Gorman came forward and got a sweet scatter on the blind grenade, going about 4" directly forward and just clipping the Stalker and the Warden. The Kodiak didnt charge for some reason, and ran to be close to the Stalker (and getting out of the Bears charge lane). The Bears charged the Warden, but my opponents time ran out just as he made his first attack. He forgot to call an extension, was a lucky break. Oh and the Kayazy failed to rally.

So with Butcher out on the far corner of the box, I had a plan. The Gallows on that flank shifted up, and Krueger arced a tornado at him, boosting to hit and getting it. I rolled a 6 for the distance, and he scattered even further away - massive success! With Butcher out of the game for at least a turn or two, I turned my attention to the Bears. The Gorax got Primaled and ported up behind them, killing two and leaving the last KD. I checked the Stalkers reach range, and my opponent had just managed to run his Kodiak in my reach range - so even though he was blinded I got to attack, doing about half its boxes. The other Stone set shifted up to block the Kodiak from moving closer.

At the end of my turn, board looked like this:

Kodiak was well outside Butchers control, so he camped focus and just ran to threaten Krueger. The Kodiak milled about, killing a Stone or two. Gorman went for another blind, I think he missed this turn though (may have clipped the Warden). The Kayazy finally rallied.

Was well up at this point, so just needed to consolidate my position. The Stalker finished off the Kodiak, the Kayazy were dealt with by Chain Lightning, with Krueger killing the last by shooting a Gallows Grove and e-leaping into the nearby Kayazy. Gorman got cleaned up by the Warden (or the Kayazy CL, not sure), and the gorax frenzied on and killed the last Bear. Gobbers ran to block Butcher in.

Butcher came forward and wailed on my objective, killing it pretty easily. I had completely forgotten about that, so this was a good reminder. I had the Stalker port up and kill my opponents objective, and used Stones to completely block Butcher out of the zone. Following turn he tried to Obliterate a Stone and charge into the zone, but failed to kill and I won via scenario.

Love that one spell, Gobbers and a set of Stones kept Butcher occupied the entire game.

Next game was called, facing another Khador player...

    Game 3 vs Zerkova, Gauntlet

I had faced this Zerkova player once before, and with Wishnailer she is actually pretty decent. His other list was an eIrusk brick and given this list had Kayazy and Behemoth, I had to use pKrueger. His list was:

    Zerkova
    - Behemoth
    - Jugger
    Max Kayazy + Underboss
    Greylord Ternion
    Koldun Lord
    Wishnailer
    Gorman
    Reinholdt

The scenario again played to my favour, as I could hang back with my heavy hitters until the Kayazy and his support had been removed. I had first turn, everything basically moved up to contest the zone, with the non-stealthed Stones shifting up to be targets the following turn. My opponent ran everything forward somewhat cautiously.

I had the Stones shift up to provide targets, with Krueger (through a Grove) and the Warden dropping CL on them. Bad rolls saw only 3-4 drop, and forced a tough on the Underboss (which he passed). Everything else just shifted slightly and held position.

This is the board at the top of 2.

The tough on the Underboss had the same effect as last game, the unit couldnt charge or run far forward without being out of command. So they advanced and everything else followed suit. Zerkova and her support starting making a beeline for the cover on the right. The Jugger got Powerboosted and charged a Stone, killing it.

In return I had the broken Stones set shift up for more CL targets, with the Warden then ripping through the Kayazy, killing about 5. A Grove ported up near to Behemoth, and Krueger then activated, arcing Tornado through the Groves and throwing Behemoth out of the zone. He also put Tendrils on the Stalker, and then on zero fury he moved right back to safety. The Gorax then Primaled the Stalker, who was then ported up to kill the Jugger. I stuff up here and had Krueger too far back, and he wasnt in control anymore... The two initials did massive damage though, taking out the Juggers Cortex (so lucky!) and frying two Kayazy with e-leaps. I stuff up again this turn - I managed to clear the zone of enemy models, but didnt have anything in there to score...

Behemoth paid to shake the KD, and then just advanced back into the zone but nearer the wall so he wouldnt get thrown out again. He killed some more Stones but that was about it. Zerkova feated this turn and dropped some spells, killing a Stone. The Jugger did some superficial damage to the Stalker, but that was about it.

The Stalker frenzied onto the Jugger, doing another decent chunk of damage. Krueger came forward again, arcing CL through the Groves onto the Ternion, but missed due to cover. The Warden moved up and got a better angle on the CL, negating the cover and hitting. The lightning went ballistic, rolling a 6 for leaps and killing 2 of the 3 Ternion, the Koldun Lord, Reinholdt, Gorman and putting 5 damage on Zerkova! Stones blocked Behemoth in, but that was about it.

Opponent knew he was up against it at this point, so tried to put some damage on Krueger. Behemoth got focus to his guns and walked around the Stones, but couldnt hit my def 21 (cover + Skyborne). Jugger flailed on the Stalker again, missing his attacks this turn.

This turn was go time. The Stalker killed the Jugger, Stones ported up behind Zerkova for CL targets and the Warden hit them and put some more damage on Zerk. Krueger feated on her and dropped another CL, but did minimal damage. The Feral got Primaled and ported, and with some ace rolls he killed Behemoth. I should have put Tendrils on the Feral here for the lightning leaps into Zerkova (multiple pow 10s rather than one boosted from the CL I did instead), but I didnt and she lived on about 4 health.

(Both jacks are dead in this pic)

Zerkova came forward for one last attempt at Krueger, but with Wishnailer dead and my two transfers, she had no chance. The attempt failed and my opponent conceded.
