Khador group pictures with display table

A few years ago I commissioned Pat Ohta to make this super cool table for me. I figured we'd use it a lot for gaming. We only used it a couple of times though. Generally we don't game at my house and the table isn't very game friendly with the large buildings. Finally I've decided to just use it as a display table for my army. The pics probably aren't the best but they were the best I could do. In a month or so I'll be adding Black Dragons, 2 Mechanik Officers, another Uhlan unit leader, 2 magnetized warjack kits and another unit of Bombadiers. Can't wait to put the Conquest on here eventually. For those of you that have seen the army before you're probably wondering where all of the flames went. I painted black over a lot of the models with flames (gasp). The remaining warjacks with flames will be sold eventually once I have the plastic jack replacements for them. I did this because I wanted to change the look of the army a bit without starting over from scratch and because this will make it easier to get work done from different painters should I need to do so. Most of the army was painted by Greg Cymbalist of Distant Light Miniatures with contributions from Brant Benoit (Ghool), Drew Olds (Odinsgrandson), Michael O'Dell, and Fineline Studio. My best friend Victor Badger (Charbok) painted Drago and has done a lot of repair and touch up work for me. He also did the brass rod work on the IFP. Ok, so now the important part...the pics! Imagine the Isengard theme song playing to help get you in the mood. ;-)

great bastard lincoln's ghost its glorious! I've been trying to get a color scheme like this for my models but between my poor eyesight, arthritis, and general lack of skill i can't get much done. These though are beautiful! I say, would you paint mine if i mailed them to you o___o

I'll be honest, I miss the flames, which were very cool. The vast amount of miniatures out on that GREAT table though... I will agree with Volt_Ron about that one.

I'm seeing 221 Khador models (380 pts) and 25 Mercs/Minions (38 pts). I didn't figure in any points for warcasters and didn't subtract any warjack points.

Only point of critique I can utter is that the ogrun bokur is a very ugly green colour when compared to the rest of this magnifiscent army. I think it is because of the red and black used on its armour...

Pretty great looking stuff, but it kills it for me that you didn't paint them yourself. I need that personal creative touch, personally.

I will say, though, that with cash like that... go spend $20 on some new blinds for that window. Eek.

Thanks guys. Glad you like it. Until about six months ago or so I used to carry this entire army with me when I'd go to game. I've got one of the big Battlefoam bags. Believe it or not I still had room to spare. It got to be too heavy and impractical. Now I just take what I need for the day.

So much. Whether you painted it all yourself or not, it's inspirational and the table is fantastic. I see what you mean about using it for practical gaming though. I personally dislike the flames on the Jacks, I far prefer the minimalist commie reds on the later Jacks. Thanks for sharing this.
