Initially I did not like the Throne. What sold me on it was realizing that it flew. Something about the fact that it flew made it automatically click in my mind. It gave it the impression of an alien invasion. I envisioned fleets of Thrones pouring over the horizon on Western Immoren's Doomsday, and Thrones sweeping into villages at night, slaughtering people who couldn't even figure out what was lashing out at them from the darkness above.
So naturally, I wasn't about to let my Throne walk around on it's tentacles. So I didn't and this is the result.
The total height without the Sorceress is 9.5"(or so). I'll try to get a shot of it next to a Storm Strider if I get a chance, but this thing's massive, and towers over the other battle engines like they tower over the rest of the army.
And as a bonus, the fact that it isn't held up by the tentacles allowed me to repose and magnetize them, which I followed up by pinning the center body as well, allowing me to disassemble the Throne for transport. It's perfectly sturdy while assembled. The Sorceress isn't magnetized, however, I just haven't attached her yet. She'll likely be permanently attached to the top part when it's all done.
