Default This forum (and it's participants) rock!

Anyone who's been following my thread (New to minis, not that good, but dammit I'm still proud!) has seen I've been improving my painting, but I was reviewing it myself and found a pretty stark comparison. In only about a month, I've gotten a LOT better!

I don't know if it seems like much to you, but it feels huge to me. I've still got a LOT of room for improvement, but I feel like I've made great progress so far. And it's pretty much thanks entirely to either direct suggestion or tips gleaned from other posts.

So many thanks to you all!

It's all in practice, Mike. Believe me, I find new things that work well every day, and I find out some of the older things I was doing don't work as well as I'd like. It's how we get better!

I think you're making great progress, and I'm excited to see a fellow Khador player grow as well

Wait till you see your improvement after 1,2,3 years of painting.

In the future, please think about the consequences of posting your work, so this doesn't happen again. Perhaps use less of whatever it is that you use to get your results?
    Thanks.

Also if you're into converting models you'll find how much ambitious(an/or insane) your projects become

BTW, you first mini looks much better than mine did.
That be some fine progress yer making

You are one of those awesome forum inhabitants too mate the improvement is noticeable. I still shudder to think of the first gaming model I painted, and before that the very first model kit I painted*. I'm still learning and improving, and so will you every time you paint a model. Keep it up!

*In a rather loose sense of the word "painted".

I have always felt that a cleanly painted model, ie smooth highlights, straight lines, smooth shadows, ect...is always better than minis painted in an elaborate fashion. Keep working on brush control it will pay off.

Man, you really have the right attitude. Most people, when their painting improves, have a moment of "everything I've done so far is crap". Myself included.
    Keep painting.
    Have blight. Will share.

I know that feeling. Although at 20 years I get kind of depressed when I see how much better younger people with actual talent do.
