I would be surprised if a program like this couldn't run for over 10 hours on an iPad without neededing a recharge. The worries about battery life confuse me. Even in extreme cases there are external battery chargers on the market pretty cheap. If you are in a tourney using this app only it would be a smart investment i guess.

On the stat tracking for development: I think if they were doing this, which I doubt, they wouldn't tell us. There are all kinds of people out there that would skew data. I think tourney results are a better indicator of competive trends than daily app data.

For those of you with kindle fire, does it support android apps? Second, if we buy on iOS device, it should then also work on android device because the account is through pp and not apple?

On the first thread, Simon said it will be available on the Fire (he was answering my question about it) making me think you will be able to download it from Amazon's app store. Even then is very easy to install android apps not on the store.

Since they will be tied to the ID you create within the app, and due to the way licensing fees currently work with Apple, I am almost certain that you will buy faction decks directly from PP - probably via their website. So, I would hold off on the itunes giftcards if I were you.

Not necessarily, look at how the comixology app does it. I works exactly how PP have described their system but you can pay though the app using your normal apple credit if you want to. I'd be disappointed if you're couldn't purchase decks using the proper store payment systems.

Is there going to be a PC version (aka a version developed for Windows 8)? Not for my desktop, mind, but for a new phone or tablet I might get. With Windows using the same exact OS across all their new hardware come windows 8, I see little reason to invest in an Android phone, an iPad and a desktop PC - when I could have 3 devices that are all running the same OS. Development for the Win8 platform is something definitely relevant to my interests.

• Can I view a list of units with the speed, mat, rat, def, and arm right in line with the names? Rather than have to click on them.
• Will it always show the full card or is there a condensed, rules only version for speeds sake?
• On larger devices can you set it so it shows just the names, stats, keywords, and damage grids?
• How are theme forces handled in the app? What sort of information about the tiers is available?
• Would there be anything stopping people from making a list that included their full collection?
• Are tags included in the app so you can track different versions of the same model on the field? If so how many tags would be included?

I wouldn't hold my breath. Windows hasn't exactly had a sparkling history on phones & tablets. I'd expect a Blackberry version long before Windows is even considered.

I know this question has been asked repeatedly, in one form or another, but the old threads keep getting deleted and its important to keep this topic visible:

Is PP considering the possibility of allowing users to build basic text-based army lists without limiting them to the digital card decks they've purchased?

There are practical benefits to including this capability:

-Allowing players to create fantasy lists for factions they don't own could drive model sales.
-It would be an additional venue where players discover and become curious about models they weren't previously aware of.
-A List-building feature could potentially justify a fee for the basic application
-$60 is a steep price for those iBodger users who only want to retain the all-factions-included mobile list-building function, which is incidental to the features that drive that price (cards, rules, gamekeeping). Offering that stand-alone feature would completely assuage any discontent, even if it wasn't free

given the full install is 70-80. if I own all factions (or multiple factions) will I have the ability to only load some factions onto my phone/tablet/magic device, or will you be forced to load everything you load all the time. as a follow up question, any chance PP wants to send me a newer phone with more free space?

I thought it was mentioned the install includes all factions & you will just unlock the factions you purchase so I wouldn't think there will be space savings based on factions purchased.

Yes. All cards and rules are present in all installs, and you?ll be able to see the cards in your opponent?s army for the duration of your game.

I think that's going to vary wildly from person to person. I've got big clumsy fingers, so... I'll take my marker and cards, thanks. But it'll be nice to have one-stop shopping for rules lookup and list making.

I'd say there is a definite potential to be faster than the cards if it has a smartly designed UI. I've spent a lot of time watching people hunt for a particular card when I damage a warjack or a solo.

Agreed, I personally can't find my cards when they are right in front of me on the table. Personally I am really looking forward to this app.

I'm not sure how soon/ if this might come into play, but if you pay for the Ultimate Bundle would new faction decks that are released be a free download, or would you have to pay for them separately?

I have a question about the league models. I understand that the new league models will still be accessible (though not legal after the league) but what about old league models. Will these be in there too? I was just reading a thread that was resurrected from 2010 about league models:

Considering that with the latest update it now takes around 10 minutes to make an android app into a Blackberry compatible app (apparently you just have to run the code for the 'droid app through a compiler RIM created from what I've heard) I would be very surprised if PP doesn't make War Room available on Blackberry devices.

Edit: @Geekly: I'm fine with no set in stone date. Generally deadlines like that make programs more "which bugs can I leave in to handle later without getting people too pissed off because I need to meet this deadline" and less "this is a perfect program that will rarely if ever explode because I wasn't quite as time constrained so I could do more QA".

For what it's worth, because of the Apple review process, there are only about four exact answers that can be given for when an iOS app is coming out:

• We haven't submitted the app for review yet. (Optional: We plan on submitting for review on X.)
• We've submitted the app for review (on X) and Apple doesn't tell developers how long review will take.
• The app has passed review and will be ready for sale with the next 24 hours.
• The app was rejected (for some reason or other) and we're dealing with the administrative process.

Anything else is just guesswork. :-/

So I just got a hold of a 2nd Gen iPod touch for painting a battle engine for a friend. Turns out, it can only get up to iOS 4.2, which isn't compatible with battle clock. It got me wondering if Warroom is going to be limited to just the most recent iOS versions as well. Hopefully not .

To clarify my question a bit, will warroom work on previous iOS versions such as iOS 4.2?

(also, if anybody knows how to get in touch with the guy who programmed Battle Clock, I'd appreciate it)

I am pretty sure War Room will allow you to track upkeeps, spells and animi on enemy and friendly models alike. Will War Room track if the target is legal or not?

I guess this is moot if my original statement is false.

I doubt it will go into that much detail Sergent Bus. That's a LOT more game logic and a potential minefield for bugs and weird interactions.

Q: How will WarRoom handle game effects that create new models that require cards of their own? For example spawning vessel or Epic Thagrosh creating a lesser warbeast of their choice?

If I buy the skorne deck for instance and all skorne models are included if then a new skorne model is released will I get that card free or will I need to purchase it?
