Actually, if you look at the april 10th posting on PP website (http://privateerpress.com/videos/war-room) it says "spring", NOT late april. The "april" release date announcement was made on march 19th, so the "spring" notice is newer.

Actually, that video/web info was posted the day they announced War Room, so it is NOT newer info. :-)

(The Privateer Press Video Channel or whatever was what they posted on April 10; they simply gathered their videos under one umbrella that day. The videos and web info was posted exactly as you see them on day one of the announcement, just to be clear.)

All material initially released referenced "spring" except the Press Release, which said "March."
Privateer later posted their "official release window" update to say "late April." THAT is the latest official word on the subject.

We still have a week before it "slips." I'm hopeful that it will still release in the next week and not slip, but we'll see.

If that's the case, they should be a little more diligent in watching what is in what they copy/paste on later dates. That said, I'm hopeful it is coming out within the week as well. I'm really looking forward to this app and they can't take my money fast enough as it is, where is my speed tube mailer direct to PP offices so I can fill it with my monies and they can return product to me?

I wish this was the case. But given the lead time needed to get the app approved at the relevant app stores, the app is either finished and submitted, or still being worked on, in which it doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of making the "late April" date.

Given how little discussion we've seen from the developer or PP on this, I doubt we'll get a "the app has been submitted" post. They'll probably just announce when the approval goes through.

My point was that they already know whether it has a reasonable chance at "late April" or not. No amount of late night overtime work is going to help it make the aforementioned deadline at this point.

Listening to the War Room episode of Guts N Gears, and one clarification I picked up from this:

The free version will include all stat cards from 'starter products.' This includes: Warmachine Prime mk. II, Hordes Primal mk. II, all starter battle boxes, and the Warmachine two-player battle box. Elsewhere I have read that it will also include a selection of Retribution of Scyrah, Minions, and Mercenaries stat cards.

Admittedly, the 'cast is two and a half months old at this point, but I think it's still relevant.

That's actually better than I expected. I thought they were going to include battleboxes only. Including Prime and Primal is a step up.

Amazon store, y0. Or you could get it from googles store website I believe.

You need to root it to install those stores. I'm going to try and install cynogenmod 7 sometime this weekend. If I'm successful, I'll post the info here. Apparently once the mod is installed you can add the android store and the amazon store.

Unfortunately, I don't think PP will do this. First, why should they let iBodger give it away for free, when War Room will make them money. Second, it might violate the terms of their agreement with Tinkerhouse.

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't know if I'd be willing to start work on an app that and have to play catch up, since I was asked to stop supporting it, only to know that once War Room comes out I'll be asked to stop again. Too much hassle, but I'm not Whicken. Maybe that guy's more of a trooper than I am. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Whicken is still updating his app for himself and his friends and just not releasing it for general consumption, so I guess that makes it easier to put out again?

I think the bigger concern is can Tinkerhouse meet it's agreements. I am not saying this is a trivial app, but by no means is it a insurmountable project that takes a professional dev shop a very long time to produce.

Starting to seem like they should have just subcontracted Whicken to begin with. IBodger was more then functional and he kept up with it quite well. As someone who codes indy games for his friends all the time i can tell you a program such as this should take very long at all. While handy everything so far advertised is actually really simple and basic stuff. Having interactive cards you can mark damage on ect is extremely entry level. I do concede however that having the devices sync up in order to play a game would be somewhat of a pain.

Point of order: "allow" is a misleading term here. Whicken stopped because he was asked, not because he was told. He's doing PP a solid, not being strongarmed. He may not have the priorities you think he does.
