    Default Grayle 50 Points

    I haven't been getting a lot of chance to play, so I'm painting and fiddling around with lists. Trying to decide between two Grayle lists. I've got most everything circle and minion solos that will work for circle. I don't have any Gallows Groves yet though.

    First thing I was thinking is:
    Grayle the Farstrider (*6pts)
    * Gorax (4pts)
    * Feral Warpwolf (9pts) or WoldWarden (9 pts)
    * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    * Stone keeper (1pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt) (1pts)
    Tharn Bloodtrackers (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    * Nuala the Huntress (2pts)
    Tharn Ravagers (Leader and 5 Grunts) (9pts)
    * Tharn Ravager Chieftain (2pts)
    Tharn Ravager White Mane (3pts)
    Tharn Ravager White Mane (3pts)

    I like the idea of overtake and heart eater for Storm Rager. And two White Manes gives me two different vectors to come from. I am a fan of ravagers, between advance move and Grayles feat if need be, they are quick enough to get up the field. Bloodtrackers make a decent first strike, or harasser depending on the situation. Shifting stones are pretty useful in general, and with the stone Keeper on one, I've got the stalker, the feral, and both white manes to throw forward.

    or I replace the infantry/solos with wolves to take advantage of Elite Cadre.

    Grayle the Farstrider (*6pts)
    * Gorax (4pts)
    * Feral Warpwolf (9pts)
    * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    * Stone keeper (1pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt) (1pts)
    Tharn Bloodtrackers (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    * Nuala the Huntress (2pts)
    Wolves of Orboros (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
    * Wolf of Orboros Officer & Standard (2pts)
    Lord of the Feast (4pts)
    Wolflord Morraig (5pts)

    This depends as much, if not more on having forests on the table. Morraig and the LotF are fun, but I've had white manes take out big chunks if they move right. Any thoughts?

    I like the second list more. The amount of heart eater in list 1 isn't healthy. You can always get a Grove and a White Mane instead of a LotF. If your second list (as in the one you partner with Grayle) can handle Cryx then List 1 might work okay.

    Okay Ramrod, I see that. Now, I honestly have never really made two lists for tournaments that way. I don't do a lot of tournaments, and I don't place well when I do. So, with the second list, or with both lists, what threats/counters/whatever do I need to be able to handle. I've played against Cryx, and I understand what you mean that heart eater just won't work against them. But what do I need to look for to "handle Cryx?" When making two lists, what should I be able to handle? Stealth? Nonliving? Infantry Spam? Jack Spam? Rough Terrain? For whatever reason, I just have never thought of putting lists together that way.
