Poppabear's Epic Terrain Table Update!

Had to make a 4x4 cover for the epic board... So I just decided to make it another terrain board while I was at it. Lucky for me I already have the terrain elements to put in this one finished. I wouldn't have time to start a whole other board. I have to be done with this one by the end of the month... The sad thing about finishing the epic board is that I will have to start my next board...

Revamp- I will try to get a shot up soon of the full board.

Thanks all for the positive comments! You guys keep me from getting lazy and cutting corners!

Here is the latest batch of overall pics. The buildings still need their finish work.. but I did remove the bases from them. I think they look better without.

They will be filled with water effects as well as a stream coming out of the lions mouth. So many details to do on this piece (painting bricks different shades) I don't know if it will ever truly be finished.

Don't worry about finishing it, just pack it up and ship it to Dallas. We will suffer through. It will be hard to, but we wil try to deal with the unfinished terrain.

the Hirsch tile system is very time consuming but you have done a great, great, great job.

Where is your LGS? A trip there might be in order.

I play primarily at 2 different shops, we have a great Warmahordes community up here. Independence MO, at Game Cafe, and Overland Park Kansas at Table Top games. We are the MoKan warmachine group.

Recruits convention last weekend and the official unvieling of the EPIC table. It was used as the final table for both the 35 and 50 point tourneys. Enjoy the pics!

I will be making markers for the table for all scenerios... That's what the red strip is through the middle of the board. We took the houses off for the last game.

Awesome stuff. My only complaint is that horrible red control zone marker. Destroys the whole great visual candy.

For marking control zone I have just cut up some Finecast sprues that I had lying around so that i can mark the corners of a control zone. Also I am realy imressed by your board. A++++

The next project is scenerio markers that actually fit the terrain. There just wasn't time to get them done before the con.

I'd be interested in seeing the scenario markers if you have them done already. Also if you have time I'm still interested in hearing how you created the sand/wood effect on your board (and minis). I really love that lighter color. My stuff always turns out very dark and gloomy.

You sir have inspired me to create my own foldable board made from your designs. Best part is I don't have to pay for supplies because I roped my woodwork teacher into helping me.
