played a game today and tried to use baldurs feat to protect my guys but apparently cover is useless against melee because you do not get any bonus in melee for cover you get a bonus for obstructions in the way but not the feat because it just says cover not obstructions...and if this is so camoflauge ( druids ) is pointless in melee too because concielment and cover do not protect it melee the only melee bonus you get is obstruction...is this all true

Correct. Cover provides no benefit in melee, but defending an obstacle does provide a benefit.

That is correct. pBaldur's feat is not a melee feat. You should always be feating when your opponent is trying to close in next turn, when the anti-pathfinder difficult terrain nullifies their ability to reach you, and then you get the cover against those who shoot you, but this is not a tactics discussion area. Cover is ranged only. Getting a +2 bonus from an obstruction in the way during melee involves a similar kind of terrain piece, but is classified as a different thing.

Cover does not apply to melee attacks. See Prime, p. 51 for all melee attack modifiers.

Tactical discussion should be in the faction forums.
