Some casters in the game cast stone walls and flame walls. What template do we use for these spells? Is the template in the back of the rule book or is it the template from the old MKI cards?

Same as the old one.

The faction deck did not come with a wall template and there is a "Wall" template in the back of the rule book. Are we 100% sure that this is the rule?

I'd put my money on it being the new template.

Unlikely that you're going to get an infernal ruling. Why is one needed, honestly?

The template in the book says "Wall Template." Seems pretty clear that this would be the template used for anything that says it uses a wall template.

Same as the old one.
Uhm, no. Old one is not the same as the wall template in the back of the book...

the new template is longer and skinnier than the old one.

It is the new wall template to be used, so it should be used.

See page 256 of the rulebook?

Exactly as some have said:
Rule 'x' says "Place a wall template..."
The core rulebook has a page of templates, including a "wall template".
Rule 'x' says does not say to use "special template y".

Therefore, you must use the wall template, as listed in the Rulebook.

Hm, last I asked this, they said use the old one. Guess it was awhile ago!

All in all, you're just another brick in the wall....template.
