If a unit has had 'Guided hand' cast on them will this last a whole turn and give benefit to free strike attacks?

Example 1.
Player 1 turn 1 - A unit attacks with guided hand attacks a large base model and doesn't kill it
Player 2 turn 1 - The large base unit moves away from the unit will guided hand - will the free strikes be with an extra die from guided hand?
- (I'm guessing not as they have already used their "first melee attack")

Example 2:
Player 1 turn 1 - A unit attacks with guided hand attacks a large base model and doesn't kill it but not all models manage to reach and hence does not attack.
Player 2 turn 1 - The large base unit moves away from the unit will guided hand and past the models which didn't attack during Player 1s turn - will these free strikes be with an extra die from guided hand?

Or does the Guided hand 'expire' at the end of Player 1s turn 1 before Player 2 starts?

In Warmachine/Hordes things usually lasts for one Turn or for one Round, and the text of the spell/effect/ability will tell you which it is.

If an effect lasts for one Turn it will expire at the end of the current players Turn. If an effect lasts for one Round it will expire at the end of the other players next Turn.

I don't have the text for Guided Hand, but if it says "Lasts for one Turn" then it will expire at the end of Player 1's turn in your example.

Target friendly model/unit gains an additional die on each modelʼs first melee attack roll this turn.Ends when the current player's turn ends.
