weald secrets is a spell that grants camoflauge and pathfinder
chronicler's storytelling is stories not spells - Tale of Mists grants concealment and feign death.

Do magehunters ignore the +4 def bonus to range attacks from these spells?

Does blessed ignore the +2 def from camoflauge because it comes from a spell?

Arcane assassin and blessed ignore spell effects that add to def or arm (and arcane assassin also ignores overboosted power fields), not other spells. Camouflage and concealment are not ignored, even if granted by a spell, because the spell is not increasing defense, it is granting an ability that increases defense (mage hunters will still ignore concealment and camouflage with their UA but due to phantom seeker, not arcane assassin)

Assuming you mean the Mage Hunter Strike Force unit. If you DO have the Strike Force Commander attachment which grants phantom hunter you would ignore both effects but not as a result of arcane assassin, rather as an affect of the phantom hunter ability. It allows you to ignore concealment (and when you ignore the concealment or cover that a model with camouflage is in/behind they do not gain the camouflage bonus either). Likewise you would shoot right through the concealment effect of Tale of Mists but you would not ignore the feign death part as it is not a bonus to ARM or DEF. If you do NOT have the Commander attachment then you would not bypass any of the abilities/spells and would suffer the full bonus to defense that the target would have.

Darn it, beaten to it while I was verifying phantom hunter.
