View Full Version : Soul Harvetser vs Omegus

Venethrax has Soul Harvester on a friendly model that destroys a living model within the Control range of The Testament.

Omegus tells us that Venethrax doesn't get any soul tokens for that.
Soul Harvester tells us that Venethrax would get the soul tokens regardless of proximity of any other model.

So Venethrax doesn't get the soul.
Does Testament get the soul or does nobody get the soul?

As I read it, the Testament would get the soul, as Venax wouldn't be an elegible model, thus his proximity (or pretend poximity) doesn't matter.

I'd say the closest Menoth model gets the soul.

I can't find the section in the rulebook, but as I recall a soul token normally defaults to the closest model able to claim it. Soul Harvester allows Venethrax to claim the soul irregardless of range (essentially making him the closest model), but the Omegus prevents a non-Menoth model from claiming the soul, no matter how close they are.

Essentially, I can't see the situation as being any different than, say, Asphyxious killing a model and being unable to cull the soul, despite being the closest model to the victim.
