Last night I was playing a game with my circle orboros army against my friends cryx
At one point in the game my warp wolf stalker frenzied. The closest enemy model was bane lord tarterous who was less than a half inch away however I was also in his back arch, the closest model after that was a shifting stone an inch and a half away in my front arch which got obliterated by the stalker. Could I have spun around and hit the enemy model cus he was closer or des we do it right by having me attack the stone in my Line if sight and melee range?

This is the descending order in which you check for frenzy targets:
1. Enemy in the warbeast's melee range.
2. Friendly in the warbeast's melee range.
3. Enemy engaging the warbeast.
4. Closest model in LOS.
5. Closest model.

So it depends on if Tartarus was engaging your Stalker or not. If he was, then he fulfills step 3 and becomes the frenxy target. If Tartarus was not engaging the beast then the Shifting stone you mention fulfills step 4 and Tartarus step 5, so the Shifting stone it is.

I'm sorry I omitted an important part the beast ant the other model were in eachothers back arch so I guess we weren't engaging eachother at that point.

Then the Stone was the correct frenzy target. :)
