From the shifting stone thread, I want to verify (or be educated) on what I learned from it.

Lets use the Shifting Stones and the UA Stone Keeper to make it specific. According to the book they can't be placed out of formation and you can always measure the cmd distance between the unit commander and one of its troopers. Does that mean that I can measure both the distance of the shifting and check for cmd from the Stone Keeper at the same time? Sorry, I'm thick headed sometimes and don't want to misinterpret.

As I said that post, You place first, then see if it is in the control range, and if it is not in range then rollback and place other location.
