View Full Version : Afflictor, Infect and Activations

Hey getting to the point, Infect for the Afflictor says;

"Once per activation, when this model boxes a living enemy warrior, etc."

My question is: Does the clause "once per activation" refer specifically to the Afflictor or any activation ie. An enemy unit activates and I free strike one to get an incubus then another gets free struck but doesn't spawn one, then a solo activates, gets free struck and again spawns an incubus?

If it is only refering to the Afflictor wouldn't it say "Once during this models activation?"

Thanks for the replies in advance.

It means once during the Afflictors activation. If "once per activation" is written on a card, it refers to the model related to the cards activation and is just to clearify, that the model can´t do that more than once during its activation.

You can´t create Incubi with freestrikes.

You can´t create Incubi with freestrikes.

If, during the Afflictor's activation, an enemy model ability triggered, allowing it to make an advance that is not immune to free strikes, the Afflictor could conceivably box the enemy model with a free strike and create an Incubi.

It's not that free strikes themselves are a special case, it just so happens that they are typically made outside of activation.
