Hunter :- A model with Hunter ignores forests, concealment and cover when determining LOS or making a ranged attack.

So when using magic attacks from Hex Hunters would I be right in saying.
1. They can see through more than 3 inches of forest to cast a spell at an enemy model.

It has come up recently that magic attacks differ for some reasons so they are unable to take advantage of hunter and I don't fully understand why and just want to confirm please?

Magic attacks are similar to ranged attacks (...) but are not affected by a rule that affects only ranged attacks.

Fortunately, Hunter allows a model to ignore forests when determining LOS or making a ranged attack. Since the Hex Hunters do not make ranged attacks, they do not benefit from the "ignores concealment and cover" part of Hunter, but they do benefit from "ignores forests when determining LOS".

So: Ignore forests? Yes. Ignore concealment/cover? No.
