I find it odd and slightly disturbing that Mike and I are the only ones who have posted so far in this thread.

Where's Mika? Where's Bill? Frank? Mark?

Again, I will be there....as long as I have a ride.

Lots of folks posted on the thread in the old forums... I'm assuming they will all still make it. :)

Well, I sure hope so.

Playing against you for three rounds does sound like fun, though.

Yes, I'll still be there and I'm pretty sure Jin is coming. The others I'm still unsure of because they are involved with moving into a new place.

That's a bummer.

Good that I didn't finish the Slaughterborn to show you.

He's modded and on his rock and has the basic colors on, but needs more love.

That's a big time bummer Ross! Hope to see you next time.

As for who IS coming:

YES: Tim, Markus, Mika, Mike (me), Frank, Jin, Greg

MAYBE: Sean, John, Mark

UNKNOWN: Bill, Kalen, others.

Hope to see as many of y'all as humanly possible... and now with the release of MK2 Hordes, there is no excuse for the Hordes-only players. :D

We're more okay with you being a MKII Newbie than you being a turkey who feels he doesn't have enough time to game once a month.;)

Speaking of that, I should probably read the updated rule .pdf.

Sorry guys, I have company arriving from out of town this weekend and will have to miss the event. I look forward to playing in the next one. I like what I see so far in reading the Hordes MkII Field Test rules.

Bill, you will be missed. I look forward to seeing you next year;)

Also, your new s/n makes you sound like a Batman villian...which is never a bad thing.

Looks like I'll be missing this one as well. The last weekend before finals is a bad, bad time for me.

I'll be there in spirit, though. Tainted, green-glowing Cryxian spirit.

Indeed, you will be missed.

I NEED TO MAKE A SECOND LIST! I AM MOST UNHAPPY!! A bunch of my list I ordered back on the 21st still hasn't arrived, so! I will have to have alternates for the list. I'm not happy because it changes the vibe of my list somewhat.

Boo! for jackass ebay people and their slow sending times!!

Hope to see lots of people tomorrow :) Going to try to paint a few more things to get relatively close to fully painted!

I am pissed! My models didn't come in, so I had to rewrite my list. I ordered them on the 21st, and they are supposed to arrive on MONDAY!! Stupid ratzen-fratzen ebay sewandsew!!! Assgoblins!

I'm actually not excited to play it tomorrow. The dynamic of my list has been changed. I am having to use models I didn't intend to use (I do get to use Harlan Versh, his maiden voyage, like others, so that is a plus), that I haven't played with since I first started playing the game (as evident by their paintjobs). It does add more women to the list, which was kind of an underlined theme to it, but still...

I'm throwing myself a pity grumble party. All are welcome. See you all tomorrow when I am in a better mood.

Tim, are you playing Mercs tomorrow? I will be there, and will have all my mercs in the car most likely. You're free to borrow what you need if I'm not using it.

You can borrow my Dannon Blythe & Bull, as I won't be using them.

Great tournament. Thanks a lot for running it. Although definitely feeling guilty about Calandra.

nike, great to have you guys. Definitely look forward to you coming back.

Yes, I had a great time as well meeting and playing you guys. And thinking about our game LemmingStampede, I have been trying to pick the Calandra list apart and how it can be countered. How might you have responded had the champs stayed out of the Thumper's LOS and come straight through the forest with cross-country?

LemmingStampede
12-07-2009, 10:10 PM
With Calandra, quite easily. I hang something out there for you to kill but covers the rest of the army, probably bone grinders. Then I befuddle you, point you the wrong way and spread out, and unload with Impaler, Pyre Troll, and Thumper. Rinse repeat.

I also could have just tossed junk at the Champions to distract them while Calandra and Burrowers went for the real target.

thumpernickle
12-08-2009, 11:24 AM
That is kinda of what I figured you would do. Befuddled is just a great, probably broken, defensive spell to keep Calandra alive long enough for the Burrowers to get to their target. Anyways, thanks for the game and your thoughts. Hopefully I can make it out every once in a while for more tournaments.

Definitely, was a joy to play you. I hope you guys can make it out as often as possible.

A good time was had by all, indeed. Thanks again for the use of the models, Mr. Stampede!
