View Full Version : Back strike confusion

I'm having trouble sorting out how exactly this is supposed to work, the diagram on pg. 62 is utterly confusing.

It's my understanding that i can't make a backstrike by walking a model into anothers back arc then attacking, but must start in the targets back arc.

The diagram however looks to me like both can make a backstrike no problem, or must the attackers base be fully in the back arc of the target to make a backstrike?

"point of origin of the attack"

is it the center of the front arc that attacks originate from on a model?

I'm just royally confused

The attacking model must spend its entire activation completely within the target's back arc. If any part of the attacker is in the target's front arc at any point during the activation, there is no back strike bonus.
