I saw a recent thread about Dark Sentinel vs Goad, so I thought to ask:

Does Dark Sentinel trigger upon say, a Minuteman jumping within 5" of Vayl?

The card says "after making a full advance, but before performing an action." that's where I'm confused, I feel like it's in a weird spot between movement and action. I guess the real logic is, since it is a place effect and the model has already performed it's normal movement, my mind thinks it shouldn't trigger Dark Sentinel.

Thank you for your time!

Unless the normal movement ends within 5" of Vayl then Dark Sentinel does not Trigger. If it does Dark Sentinel Triggers before Jump. See https://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?221616-Totem-Hunter-vs-pVayl&p=3001490&viewfull=1#post3001490

Gotchya, thanks. I tried searching under "Bounding Leap" per the card in Warroom, didn't think about searching for "Jump"

The quoted answer does not justify the distinction between Dark Sentinel and Counter Charge, as explained here: https://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?124286-Timing-Jump-Countercharge "Immediately" is not relevant to the timing. Jump should resolve before Dark Sentinel.

Read all the way down to the end of the thread. Bounding Leap and Jump are not triggered abilities, you choose to use them between ending movement and taking the model's action. Dark Sentinel and Countercharge are triggered abilities (at the end of movement) and thus resolve first.

My bad, the page hadn't loaded all the way and I got ahead of myself.
