A simple question - do effects trigger even when the attack they originate from hits but deals 0 damage due to armor?

Example 1) Continuous corrosion
Example 2) Reaper's Harpoon Drag

From what I understand, continuous corrosion would trigger (on hit) but the Drag would not (on damage). Is this correct?

If an effect requires that the attack hits (e.g. Continuous Corrosion) it does not matter if the attack actually deals damage.

If an effect requires that the attack damages (e.g. Drag) then the damage roll must exceed the target's ARM by at least 1, or the attack must otherwise automatically deal some amount of damage (e.g. Puncture).

Effects that trigger on hit only care if the attack or effect hit the model.
Effects that trigger on damaging a model must do at least 1 damage to trigger.
