I am was wondering if your able to charge your own models?

I have read posts where people are saying you can.

For example If I put Lighting Shroud on a lancer and charge my Ironclad who is in combat, I hit the Ironclad with my intitial attacks but use Lighting ARC to hit my opponents models with in 4 inches with a POW 10 shot.

Is that legit?

Perhaps it was just a typo, but you put initial attacks with an 's'. Only the very first attack, which is the charge attack, needs to target the model you charged. In your example, the Lancer's charge attack (with whichever weapon you choose) must be against the Ironclad. Then, with whatever weapons and focus it has left, it may attack anything in its melee range.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to agree with Deakon that you can charge your own models. :)

Have you seen posts where people are saying you can't and not being corrected just after?

Yes you can.
