Howdy all! http://www.warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif We've been waiting to properly announce this event for a few weeks now, but finally we have a test day booked and are very close to finalising the date of the actual event. Firstly:

Welcome to the first ever UK team championships! Many of you will be veterans of the more regular kind of Hordes and Warmachine tournaments, and many more will be fairly new to this type of gaming experience altogether. All are welcome to come and compete in this new contest where instead of pitting your wits against single opponents, you will be asked to work as a team where only your combined efforts can gain you and your team total victory. Its time to put aside past rivalries within your clubs, caste away the differences of your factions (well, temporarily) and prepare for a gaming experience like no other.

This event will take place for the first time in July of 2010 and will hopefully grow year upon year to become one of the staple British Hordes and Warmachine tournaments. We have finalised the Beta version of our rules pack which you can download from the link below.

We have done all we can do in terms of play testing and ?theory machining? this rules pack so now this is where we need your help to make this rules pack perfect.

On the 29th of this month we have booked a number of tables at the Maelstrom games' 'Eye of The Storm' for us to use. I will be there along with a few of the guys who put this pack and event together with me in order to conduct a public play test. Yep that?s right, you can come to play and help us test our rules pack free of charge, its almost a mini tournament for free! We will be there all day from the opening of the venue till its close and people can come at any time during the day to join in the fun, ask us questions and tell us your thoughts on how we can make this event even better.

We understand that this trial day is the same weekend as the Viet Taff?s Cryxmas and for this we apologise to those who can not make it to our play test, in addition to this being relatively short notice. However anyone is able to download the pack just to read it, take it away and play games using it and then to come back here and give us some feedback.

This is shaping up to be quite a fun event. Of course, its only a trial. But think of it as an excuse to get out of the house, and have a few friendly games of warmachine against people you would otherwise not be able to play.
Plus, with it being free, you have no excuses not to come and join us for all the fun.
Don't forget, the Hordes Field Test is released in three hours, so its the perfect excuse to have a go with the new rules for your beasties!
