Do models with Flight suffer free strikes now when they pass through enemy models even when charging? or are there any exceptions in this case stated in some rule i might be overlooking?

The model will suffer a free strike. You are probably thinking of old MKI Flight.

There is the legion calvery solo that has flight who can make the impact atacks on a charge following the calvery rules no free strikes from them.

This is funny. I literally just asked myself the same question and came onto the boards to type up a thread asking the same question. Low and behold, the top thread is the exact same thing I was about to ask. :)

Just because you make impact attacks on something doesn't mean it can't make freestrikes if you try to fly over it.

You have to /kill it/ for that. If you don't kill it... it's still going to be freestriking you.

Flight has no effect on free strikes at all.

which now makes it almost kind of pointless

Legion cav solo should have wording added to it that states it can't make impact attcks IMO. Not sure how you impact something when you are flying over it. But hey, that's just me.

which now makes it almost kind of pointlessTerminus would have a word with you on that.

Being able to charge over your own models is most certainly not useless.

did say almost.

Flight also lets you ignore intervening models when declaring a charge, outstanding for getting to that caster who is hiding close enough behind jacks to eat an Angel to the face.

Flight = Pathfinder for the likes of Terminus and Epic Thagrosh.

Flight + Shadow Stalk (Raek's Animus) = Epic Thagrosh ignoring Free Strikes during a Flying Charge.

Who says math isn't fun?
