I come from an historicals background, and have only just started with WM.

One of the standard scenarios in historicals is Attack bs Defender where the later is deployed normally upto the two thirds Mark on the table and has to hold against the attacker who normally has twice as many points as the defender.

Does such a scenario exist in WM, and if not anyone forsee issues with one side having twice as many points as the other?

This isn't really a rules question, more of a general forum question.

Answer: The side with 2x the points will win 99% of time, if you do standard deployment rules, where you have 1 warlock/warcasters and x many points spent on beasts/jacks, and units/solos.

It is not an official Steamroller scenario, no.

With that said, any scenario you and your opponent agree to exists in this game. Scenarios such as this have also appeared in issues of No Quarter, as well.

There is a scenario in one of the No Quarter issues that was similar to that, but for multiplayer and was lots of fun to play. It was designed for MkI points values, but could be adjusted.

The defender was in the middle with 750 pts or so (and some free gun implants), and each attacker had 500 pts or so. The attackers weren't allied, though, but the goal was to kill the defender. Very fun scenario to play.

There was also a scenario where Trollbloods defended against Cygnar. Cygnar had like 1/2 the points of the Trollbloods and no Warcaster, but all the Cygnar losses respawned every one of their control phase.

This should really be in General Discussion.

Anyway, I could see a scenario where the defender is in trenches and has a lot of cover while the attacker has to charge at them across a field. The scenario could be if the Defender can hold the ground for X turns, then they're considered the winner.
