did not generate the answer to my following question:

Combat action allows you to:
"make one normal melee attack with each of its mellee weapons"

I would assume that the spirit of point black and gunfighter is to overwrite this because as written what would be the point of making it a mellee attack if not to allow you to use it as suck.

But to be absolutely clear, does sea dog pirate crew then have TWO basic attacks for the initial mellee attacks?

So under Rockbottom's Pay Day they charge forward while inside Hawk's cmd.

The first attack the pirate uses his hand weapon. He has boosted attack rolls from Rockbottom. Its P+S 8 but the charge boosts it and Hawk gives him an additional for P+S of 8 +4d6 vs any warrior model. The defending model is killed. The pirate then takes his 1" advance from payday. he is now in mellee with a second defender who is also engaged by an additional pirate. Gang now applies. The pirate takes his second attack using his pistol at point blank. He rolls 3d6+2 to hit (from Rockbottom's payday again, and now gang applies), he hits. He rolls 2d6 Plus POW 10 of the gun +2 for gang for damage. No extra die from hawk because its not a hand weapon as her card specifies.

Is this correct?

Point Blank lets you use your ranged weapon as a melee attack. You would therefore get to make that attack and any other melee attack that the model has. Point Blank is not a Special (*) Attack, so it doesn't stop you from using your other weapons.

Gunfighter is different, it allows you to make a Ranged Attack in Melee. Models without special rules (like Virtuoso) can't make both a Ranged Attack and a Melee Attack in the same activation.

Your example appears correct.

Point Blank attacks are melee attacks - they just use the stats of the ranged weapon to make them. You roll to hit with MAT. Therefore a model can make an initial attack with both a melee weapon and a ranged weapon if it has point blank.

Gun fighter lets you make a ranged attack at models in your melee range. It is still a ranged attack, so without another rule it cannot make ranged and melee attacks in the same activation, so you must still chose one or the other (for example, Arcane Tempest Gun Mages with eCaine gain Gun Fighter - they must choose to either make a sword or a mage lock pistol attack when attacking models in their melee range - they cannot make both).
