Quick question here...
When the Devestator opens up fo the Rain of Death and deals a POW 18 blast damage roll to models is B2B, is that the same blast damage formula as the AOE deviations? would it be 2D6 + 9? What about those within 3 inches? How would I do the damage roll for those? Or am I reading this incorrectly and it is 2D6 + 18 for B2B?

I reading this incorrectly and it is 2D6 + 18 for B2B?You are reading it correctly.
It's a POW 18, but it's a 'Blast' type of damage - things immune to blast damage won't be effected.

So it is POW 18.

The confusion for me was that any discussion of blas damage described 1/2 POW. Still, average damage of 25 against those in base is pretty awesome.

I can understand the issue; it's one of those wording things that can catch you out when you're not used to it.

The wording is comparable to other damage 'type' situations: "POW 12 corrosion damage roll".

Don't forget to add fun things like S&P, or pButchers feat.

Yeah, it is odd wording. Also, pg. 68 of prime doesn't lis blast as a damage type...ugh

When it said it deal a pow 18 blast damage roll , it deal a pow 18 blast damage roll
The halve pow rule only apply to those AOE attacks which the descriptions do not tell how much pow damage they deal to those who are under the template but are not direct hit by the attack

Think of the models in B2B contact with the Dev as being directly under the centre of a template: thay take the full strength of the hit (pow 18). Those not B2B are indirectly hit and take the weaker hit (pow 9).
