The scenario: An exemplar venger charges a target. The charge brings the venger into range of making impact attacks against both the target and another model. The impact attack kills the charge target model but fails to kill the other model.

A) Is this considered a successful charge since the movement brought the
cavalry into melee range of the target?

B) If this is a successful charge attack, can the initial attack be made against
the other model not killed during the impact attacks in line with PRIME
page 47 which states the charging model does not lose its first attack?

C) If the change in targeting is allowed, which weapon could (if any) the
venger use? Page 47 states that an attack against the other is not a charge
attack and the venger's blessed lance states "this weapon can only be
used to make charge attacks." Meanwhile the venger's sword states that
"this model cannot make an initial attack with this weapon during an
activation it charged at least 3".

As impackt hits happen during the move part of a charge you will fail a charge where you kill the charge target with impackt attacks.

Correct. In addition, after killing the target with its impact attack the cavalry model would resume movement and be forced to move the remainder of its maximum distance, as it is now impossible for its charge target to enter its melee range, which is the only time you're allowed to end charge movement.

To elaborate on your last question: If a Venger doesn't have his charge target in melee range anymore after a successful charge but has charged at least 3", he won't get to attack anything, as he hasn't got a usable weapon at that point.

Guess I'll have to pick impact attack targets a bit more carefully. Thanks for the replys.
