Hey all,

As the topic says...
can members of the same unit perform different actions?

For instance (rather odd instance - but theoreticall):

In my unit of trenchers a few are in melee and a few are not.
Can those in melee fight there, 1 of the others shoot, 1 dig in and one toss a smoke bomb?
Or do all members of the unit have to perform the same action?

Thanks for any and all help

Each model in a unit declares its own action, generally, unless they got an order that requires them all to do something specific.

Yes, this is legal.

Or do all members of the unit have to perform the same action? Not unless they got an order that says they do (e.g., Charge, which means all models must either charge or run).

In general, yes. All members of the unit act individually. However, there's an important exception which is that if a unit is given an order (such as Run, Charge, Assault, etc) all members of the unit have to behave in the manner specified by the order.

Your example is legal.
