So when a trooper is knocked down and the run charge order is given
can the trooper

"charge" , forfit his movement to stand, and make an attack

"run" , forfit his action to stand and advance his speed

"charge" forfit his action to stand and advance speed +3'

or non of the above?

When part of a unit is knocked down and the charge order is given the knocked down models may stand and advance, the rest of the unit may charge normally.

Knocked down models can't attack after they advance, however if they are already in melee they can stand and attack.

This is wrong. When a unit is issued the charge order, knocked down models must still choose to either Run or Charge. Those that choose to Charge activate and do nothing (including standing). Those that run may stand up and make a full advance. Being in melee range before they stand up has no effect on this - so don't charge if you want these models to attack...

Those that choose to Charge activate and do nothing (including standing). Standing up happens before issuing orders, so that part is wrong, but a trooper won't be doing its movement or action.
