Can Murder of Crows be used against Doomreavers?

yes, since it doesn't target them. Compare it with Signs & Portents, for instance, which also affects Doomies (albeit in a positive way ;) ).

The (usual) rule of thumb is: do I have to ask my opponent for their model's DEF? If I do, than I can't cast a spell at them due to Spell Ward. If I don't than it's OK (they are affected by the spell). The only(?) exception to this is magic sprays when the Doom Reaver's were not the initial target: if the initial target doesn't have Spell Ward and the Doom Reavers were caught in the spray, they will be affected.

The rule of thumb that "Can't be targeted" means "the opponent can't ask for your DEF" usually holds.

Which is a bummer as I would love to use the UA spray near them. As is he is just giving them tough but for me its worth the two points.
