This question has been asked before and after a search I still don't think I have a clear answer.

Let's say my Blitzer rolls a 2 on a d3 for his Rapid Fire attacks. Can I force to make one additional attack with the slugger after the first 2 Rapid Fire shots? I've heard yes and no.

What is the printed 'Rate of Fire' on the gun? I don't have the trollbloods book.

The Rate Of Fire on the Slugger is 1; you cannot force for additional ranged attacks.

Not to disagree with you Valander, but doesn't Rapid Fire Ignore ROF?

Not to disagree with you Valander, but doesn't Rapid Fire Ignore ROF?

Rapid Fire says that it allows the model to make D3 attacks during the combat action, ignoring ROF. But when you go to buy additional attacks, you are limited to the ROF and those other shots still count.

Edit: Macallan's ruling says I'm partially wrong: https://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?56403-Rapid-Fire-and-the-Cyclone&p=789283&viewfull=1#post789283

Every use of Rapid Fire count as 1 against the ROF.

Either way, it's an ROF 1 gun that's fired at least 1 shot, so it's done.

A simplification...

It is a RoF 1 weapon that gets up to three attacks, that you can not buy additional attacks for.

Ah Thanks Solkan, I didn't know that Macallan had issued a "because I said so" ruling on Rapid Fire.
